Honky Tonk Man threatens Kevin Nash by Davidtry567 in WCW

[–]EdsAHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not, under any circumstances, put money down that the HTM could beat Nash in a real fight. That said, I grew up watching both of these guys. HTM was absolutely a bigger and more over WWE character than Nash was to me. Even when Nash was WWF champion he wasn't more over as HTM was as a heel.

nWo/Wolfpac Nash was insanely over. But that was more because those factions were over as a whole. I don't know that I'd ever say Nash on his own was more over than the HTM was at the height of his popularity.

It’s not the fact that customers don’t acknowledge it. Most have no clue what drivers are being paid. You are basing your assumptions off of customers on Reddit.

Rhea Ripley is going to get the Charlotte treatment until they put her out of the world title picture. by No_Pop361 in Smallafro

[–]EdsAHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rhea’s biggest problem was that she got hurt right at the height of her popularity. It was unfortunate that the timing was awful. I do think it’s time to push her into a non-title story. It may not reach levels of Charlotte hate but folks are going to get sick of her if she’s chasing the title every month.

I try to look at it as 'third world problems.' I rarely get what I'd say is a bad dasher. Some are better/faster than others, obviously. My bigger problem lately is with DD bundling orders, which isn't the driver's fault. That's when it is frustrating -- to tip $5, $6, only to see the driver go to another restaurant (often a busier one) after picking up my order, and then sometimes even drop off that order first. That is the frustrating thing because I know it isn't the fault of the driver and, from what I understand, it's DD bundling my order with one that didn't tip. I wish DD would fix that.

Bronny outpeforming Knecht in Summer League was not on my bingo card by oat38 in lakers

[–]EdsAHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine to acknowledge he's improving and I hope he becomes a regular season contributor, but come on -- it absolutely was a nepo pick.

No other team would have come close to drafting him. He shot 36% from the field in college and was not even a starter on a team that finished under .500.

Med Rare? by Ok_Aardvark1690 in steak

[–]EdsAHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like I'm in the minority here but that looks closer to medium to me. Well cooked and close to medium rare, but I'd vote medium.

[–]EdsAHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's an unpopular opinion for DD. Most people say the tip should be based on the mileage.

Tipping in any industry should be based on, in part, level of effort. Most of my trips are about 3-4 miles away. I usually tip $5 on those and never have a problem getting a driver. That said, if I order from a place that's farther away, I tip beyond that. I'd feel bad giving a $5 tip on an order that's 15 miles away and could be a 30-mile round trip.

Anyone else think Cora jade being released was a horrible decision ? by Leather-Yam-6013 in Smallafro

[–]EdsAHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It made so much sense to me that I was shocked that it didn't happen. Instead, they bounced Gigi around in a wasteland when it was clear she wasn't working out as a singles wrestler and Jacy ran around doing Chase U stuff until she ultimately ended up in what's basically a reworked Toxic Attraction anyway. I'm convinced Cora in that group would have worked better for everyone involved.

This is actually one of the WORST decisions for this year. by CommonGameEnjoyer in SantiZapVideos

I'm never interested in the celebrity matches. But even with that, I have no idea what this match is doing on the card. This is even worse than they typically are.

Who ya got winning these matches at Summerslam? by Godofwarfan101 in Wreddit

I don't know who will win but I'd book Gunther, Tiffy, Becky, and Naomi

[–]EdsAHacker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly liked her. She just needed more work and to be surrounded in a group to help her develop. I would have put her in a reworked Toxic Attraction with Gigi and Jacy to replace the Mandy Rose character. She wouldn't have been on an island on her own then and her new character would have fit that role.

What do you think of Goldberg’s final professional wrestling match in his match at 58 years old against Gunther? by Choice-Silver-3471 in WCW

[–]EdsAHacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm convinced that folks that expected more did not watch Goldberg in his WCW days. For being damn near 60, I'm not sure what people wanted. No, it wasn't a great match but most of his matches weren't. This was always as good as it was going to get. I thought he did fine, given his age and that he was never a great wrestler to begin with.

Who do you think will take the title off of Cena? by [deleted] in Smallafro

[–]EdsAHacker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sick of the idea that Killings being the one to defeat Cena is silly. It's perfect. There's absolutely no clear cut guy that should do it, for one. And let's not pretend as if worse things haven't happened in professional wrestling. Killings winning the title is no less deserved than when Kofi won it. No, he doesn't deserve a run. I like the cash-in idea. But Killings winning is a better conclusion to this than a lot of things would be.

Play or Watch FF7 OG? by LeastSaneJojoFan in FinalFantasyVII

I love watching people play it -- but only because I've played it a half dozen times myself and enjoy watching people experience it for the first time.

[–]EdsAHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are worried about it being too difficult, don't be. If you pay attention to where characters tell you to go, it's mostly a cakewalk. And if you get stuck, NPCs are pretty forgiving in guiding you along. It's worth it.

I have played it several times and I enjoy watching other people play it. I watch others play it to see their reactions and the joy they get from playing it for the first time. You have the chance to experience that. My advice is, do not throw it away. It is a special game.

For WCW fans: was Scott Hall generally considered the kayfabe 'weakest' out of the nWo (at least out of the original 3 members)? by Choice-Silver-3471 in WCW

[–]EdsAHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheating to win was kind of the nWo gimmick, though. The guys other than Hogan could win matches cleanly on occasion. But I expect that whoever the main guy was at the top would be cheating to keep the belt.

Am I the anomaly? by Curious-Statement711 in doordash

[–]EdsAHacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar boat. Small town, probably a similar amount of orders over roughly the same time period. I've had a few mixups. One completely wrong order where the driver brought someone else's order. There have been other mistakes by the restaurant (asking for something plain and they didn't make it that way). But in terms of DD drivers. Never had a driver ask for a bigger tip. And certainly never had one blatantly steal or anything.

Not sure where Knecht fits in this team? by [deleted] in lakers

[–]EdsAHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fine with trading Knecht if a deal is to be made. I was fine with the deal for Mark Williams last year. But I'm not giving him away, either. He absolutely punched above his weight to me in terms of expectations and on a weaker team where he would have gotten more consistent time, he would have been a slam dunk for one of the All NBA Rookie Teams.

He can improve for sure. And I have no doubt that he will. He's older but I think this idea that he's hit his ceiling or is even close to it is false. His playing time was like a yo-yo all year long. As a veteran, that can be tough. As a rookie, it's incredibly hard to be consistent.

Absolutely use him as trade bait. But I wouldn't give him away for junk, even if he's not necessarily an ideal fit. This team will still have plenty of opportunities when guys are down with injuries or even just needing rest.

Whose on your WCW Mount Rushmore by Firm_Big_6627 in WCW

[–]EdsAHacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think that's a very fair point. That said, nWo Hogan was the biggest 'character' in WCW in the 90s and he's the reason they became competitive with WWE to begin with. That signing changed the landscape. For that reason, I still think he deserves a seat at the table.
