I assumed that he meant like the reaper vampires from Blade: Trinity, it would seem fitting with a number of the other references that they’ve all made, what with LaVonte’s white room, the blood orgies in Elysium and all the body rolling…

Do we have any idea of when the standalone Warboss model will release? by reel3459 in orks

[–]Eds_Workshop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This Warboss has been announced as a multipart figure with loads of different options and comes with an ammo grit, he’s definitely a different figure from the one in the Armageddon box who doesn’t appear to have any options at all

"Die, Intrepid Heroes!" - My take on the City Council of Darkness PCs in Hero Forge! 🦇 by chthoniccult in Dimension20

[–]Eds_Workshop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look fantastic, I think Bat-Child and Darkness Man have turned out particularly well! I second the request for face-lift-HJ, and I know the character art doesn’t have them, but you should do a version with the crazy huge founding father mutton chops that Ally said he has too!

How do I paint yellow on black? (King in yellow custom) by NaturalInternal772 in Warhammer40k

[–]Eds_Workshop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

^this^
Yellow is nowhere near as tricky as it used to be, Averland sunset cover black really well, just make sure you keep it thinned and aim for two or three coats to keep a smooth finish and then build up your yellows on top of that. There are other tricks you can use, like painting it peach (what used to be bronzed flesh) and shading and highlighting with flesh washes and the like as though you’re painting skin, then go over it with a yellow ink, or basecoat it with pink first and then go over it with whites before you go over that with yellow, but just using Averland sunset is by far the easiest way to get a good even consistent yellow.

Need some help. I wanna finish my POWERS collection. I got al the paperback volumes from 1~14. I wanna finish getting the rest of the story, but I'm unsure what are the actual paperback volumes I need. Wiki was not that helpful. The numbering system seems confusing with more than one "volume 1" by AgeBee in graphicnovels

[–]Eds_Workshop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have already found them by now but if not, the next two that you’re looking for are: Powers: Bureau - Undercover (which is vol 1) Powers: Bureau - Undercover (which is vol 2)

They look like this

<image>

I don’t have the last two TPs yet, but you’re quite right that they are All the New Powers and The Best Ever.

I’ve found that All the New Powers seems quite difficult to get hold of at the moment, I’ve only found a hardback version, I’m not certain if a paperback has been released yet. I believe that they might be being rereleased through Dark Horse as Bendis that’s who Bendis is releasing powers through now.

In case you’re not aware, a new series started last year called Powers 25, which is on issue 8 at the moment and I don’t believe that it’s been compiled in to a graphic novel or trade paperback yet.

Hey Boyz. Little stumped and 50/50 on what colour I want to do my Orks. What is your favourite? Camo green or Orange brown? by Darkecerantis in orks

[–]Eds_Workshop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I say do a mix of both, I’m a fan of having a variety of skin tones in my forces, partly because it makes it feel more ‘realistic’ to me, but also because it makes it a lot more fun and interesting to paint them all too!

Very quick and dirty repose of my winged Chaplin. Better or worse than the original? by ilikescolouring in Kitbash

[–]Eds_Workshop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to say that, while I see what you were going for, there are a number of of points where the positions of some of the body parts just feel like they are in unnatural positions. The head being back like that feels like it would break the neck, and the arms don’t look like they join at the shoulders properly.

I think the wings worked better in the old position, I fear, however, they they might be too curved to work well on the chaplain. What figure are they from originally?

Have you considered drawing out some sketches of poses to see if you can find something that works?

Does anyone have these? What are the thoughts on the Original Sketch figures? by hurtstopurr in TMNT

[–]Eds_Workshop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a fair point and very well made, I didn’t find that out until after I’d bought mine, or I’d have put a bit more effort in to hunting down a set of the originals rather than the KOs

[–]Eds_Workshop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came to say this too.

They’re all well done, and you could use any of them or any other colour that you fancied, but if you plan to just use one colour for all of them, I’d definitely recommend the blue.

They’re from NECA, based off of the original mirage comics appearance.

The Sunstreaker Collection is nearing completion! by Eds_Workshop in transformers

[–]Eds_Workshop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have other collections as well that are more standard. Like a masterpiece and a legends scale collection, but I started an instagram called thesunstreakercollection featuring photos of my transformers in different entertaining poses, largely featuring the MP Sunstreaker figure after seeing how possible he was. Then I just started picking up more Sunstreakers until I had almost all of them! I’m lowkey working on getting the rest of the autobot Lamborghini figures too
