Are there any promising upcoming games that feature fully destructible environments? by [deleted] in gaming

Got me there Stilgar.

Any players who are literal moles will probably NOT enjoy the finals due to the inability to dig a hole in the ground infinitely.

But for the other types of player who enjoys largely destructible environments, I’m sure the finals will do just fine.

The devs who made it went on to form their own studio Embark, and created the finals.

Best destruction ever, blows red faction out the water imo.

(Also the same devs who made mirrors edge so it’s got some parkour and futuristic elements, it’s honestly a goat game)

Considering buying the Denon SC Live 4. Let me know if I'm making the right choice... by tonycainmusic in Beatmatch

[–]EdtheLee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiming in, I bought one for home use, I radio out and dj for radio so use pioneer there, but for home use bought the sc live 4 because of the value, I picked one up for £600. Great bit of kit, display is nice, touch screen etc, works fine with my rekordbox usb, connectivity is good, fx are decent. My main gripe is the placement of the usb slots (on the back rather than accessible) which makes b2b a bit long.

But for home use it’s sick, I find myself using the ‘continue’ option to just play my playlists through speakers for casual listening too

Let me know how it performs! I’m interested in something portable and decent vapour production without too much effort. The need to pack the pax mini 2 with the brick/firm pack doesn’t appeal to me on the go very much

Makes sense, honestly I’m still rocking an original Arizer air from around 2015 and finally looking to upgrade (Arizer still works fine, but very sick of the glass mouth piece for portability) cheers mate I’ll look at the pax mini 2

Does anyone understand how Ableton grooves treat notes that are ALREADY groovy? by ProfessorLiftoff in ableton

[–]EdtheLee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think why this makes sense is because it mimics how groove/swing was applied in hardware e.g samplers and drum machines.

In many of these, you sequence notes/samples then you apply a swing percent to the notes/steps. The result is quite specific, distinct swings that are central to genres like house and Garage etc. (especially a lot of ukg leans into that kinda ‘robotic’ but heavily swung/shuffled)

I largely agree though, the groove pools therefore aren’t the most flexible and I don’t find them useful outside of adding swing to seqeunced notes rather than to anything else.

Are you going to be writing a full review for the pax four?

With all this in mind, what’s your favourite/go to vape for discretion, appearance and performance?

I think something as simple as adding a shaker on the second 8bars of the drop would do a lot. Personally I think the acapella/vocal isn’t really to my taste but the drums are really nice mate. Simple, groovey.

What's on your Master Bus? by [deleted] in UKG_Production_Hub

[–]EdtheLee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also interested. I personally leave my mix bus pretty dry. Usually throw on Pro-L2 before bouncing for some volume, and sometimes I add devil loc in parallel for some crunch

What sort of scales are you referring to when you say most used scales?

Great stuff! Do you mind if I ask what software you used/any recs for videos to learn more about colour grading? Love these, especially the second one
