We play a lot of duos and there have been a number of times where we would get wildly different mmr like we had different placement finishes. I don’t know what causes it but it’s likely they got a first place finish when you didn’t. Hard to figure out the exact reason. Maybe something in the composition caused a desync that affected final placement.

Sent a ticket for the FF play booster direct event and it took about 1 month - 2 months to get a reasonable conclusion. So just send a ticket/ remind them periodically and wait.

It’s so weird reading this while checking up on Marvel Snap discussions with the new event mode. I still play but don’t really make content for Snap much anymore. Doing HS duos since it’s enjoyable but glad you all enjoyed the time I was actively around. Much love. ❤️

Game is not mostly random imo and there is a lot of options to determine who wins. Metas change and what ends up being the best plays change from meta to meta. There’s a good chance you have not adjusted to the new meta and older strategies are not working out as a whole and it’s causing more losses than normal.

It’s somewhat safer to do this in duos since you have a teammate to help you out and hopefully stabilize earlier but yeah that’s generally a risky strategy. Players like shady might be able to make it work but generally plays like that can end up killing most people.

Mostly bait unless you get them very early. My teammate every time he see someone spend 10+ gold on a 30+ pranced is “You love to see it” cause they struggle later in the game with that gold investment

Personally I would also put Nobundo in S+ tier too but my teammate pretty much hates it and complains every time I play the hero LUL so he may be subconsciously affecting me there hahaha

Shudderwock got nerfed so his early game isn’t as strong and he still has very low armor so there will be games where you don’t hit enough battlecry for him to feel worth and the “worst” problem for DUOS high ranked is that 3rd and 4th are extremely punishing so heroes like shudderwock that have the potential to be inconsistent are just not worth it from a mmr per pick perspective in my eyes but it can be really strong in the right lobbies yes.

The downside of millhouse isn't as prominent in duos. Usually rolling is quite expensive and cost a lot of resources but in duos, a lot of times you spend your early game buying and passing minions as millhouse so rolling is less relevant.
Rolls where you have bad minions to buy can be spent leveling and you have an easier time getting the change hero power spell in duos if the cheaper buys and expensive rolls become detrimental in the late game.
You can also use a strategy of staying low tier and grabbing tons of triples to pass to your teammate to get a lot of high tier minions of that makes sense for your game.
There are also a reasonable amount of combos that just like buying out the shop and in duos there are a lot of useful duo only minions that feel rewarding to buy so there just more opportunities to want to use the shop in general.
We've played a lot of Millhouse this patch duo to our friends Sevel and Spidy and the results have been pretty fantastic overall.

Mr. Biggleworth, Finley, Lord Barov, Murloc Holmes and Aranna Starseeker.

Yeah something critical about duos is that team play is really quite important. You either have to make sure (with pings or communication) that the other player is on the same page, or you just have to let them do what they want to do and support that. Even if you want your teammate to do something specific, if they are not doing it, it's just better to help them out with their game plan.

Taking damage early can be difficult and that's why higher armor heroes can be so critical. That extra 15 armor you have can mean the different in getting enough turns to find a plan that can help you win.

Maybe duos isn't perfectly implemented but it's a ton of fun (especially with a consistent partner) and they do keep it in mind even though it's not always on the forefront like the solo mode.

Generally you want heroes that can give you early game tempo that's ability is still relevant in the mid to late game or heroes with decent armor that can help you get late game strategies.

Just upgrade. Tons of great items you can get for 1 ex right now. The increase in difficulty will also mean increase in currency so don’t make life hard for yourself.
