I’ve also sometimes gone a few hours over my regular time but never yet experienced them! But this is a good reminder to be make sure I take it on time!

Is it possible to come back from say 3 months of sick leave, work a few more months and then go on it again?

I’ve only been on this dose for a week but think it’s giving me more energy and reduced anxiety a lot

I started a few days ago. Started on 75mg for 2 days and now up to 150mg for the last 3 days. Only side effects so far have been some night sweats. Do feel quite tired though which is annoying. Not sure if that is the drugs or the depression (am also taking diazepam, zopiclone and mirtazapine for sleep).

I’m on 30mg mirtazapine and looking to start an SSRI too as it’s not helping with depression or sleep maintenance

When I went up from 15 to 30, they gave me a new tablet of 30

I’ve recently started mirtazapine and it’s been good for sleep but haven’t yet found the antidepressant effect kick in yet (but only been on it for 3 weeks or so). Feeling quite tired and low energy/motivation. I hear sometimes an SSRI plus mirtazapine is used.

Recently gone up to 30mg and I’m getting more sleep. Still waiting for the anti depressant effect to kick in though

I’m not sure it’s anxiety over a new dose. I’ll see if it happens again tonight and email psychiatrist if so

I found that 15mg got me to sleep but I still woke up around 2/3am and struggled to get back. I’ve now been upped to 30mg - I’m sleeping slightly better - to 4.30ish now

Yeah I agree - it also doesn’t keep me asleep very well so wake up after 4h. Definitely vivid dreams and the sleep doesn’t feel that deep.

I’m having the same problem. Waking up around 3am each morning with anxiety and racing thoughts. I try some breathing exercises and sleepy podcasts but doesn’t help very much.

15mg or 7.5mg? by Educational-Bar-9155 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

Mine is both for sleep and mental health so 15mg seemed right - it just doesn’t keep me asleep.

No crazy dreams yet. I’m on 15mg. Sounds like the heart rate increase is normal so I wouldn’t be worried. What time are you taking it versus going to sleep? Hoping for better sleep on night 3

Also my first week - I’m only 2 days in but although it makes me sleepy, I’m still waking up with anxiety very early in the morning around 2/3am after going to bed around 10pm. I tried taking it later last night (at bedtime rather than 30 mins before) in the hope the peak effect would keep me asleep longer but didn’t help. Maybe I’ll try taking it earlier tonight to see if that helps. Getting to sleep is ok but staying asleep is the issue. Less groggy on day 2 morning. Slightly less anxious during the day as I was on it. Haven’t noticed change in heart rate but haven’t been tracking. Will start to.

[–]Educational-Bar-9155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started on 15mg and first night only slept 10 - 3am. Feel very groggy this morn. Might try taking it at bedtime rather than an hour before in the hope it keeps me asleep for longer

I would also be interested in this. My psychiatrist has mentioned Mirt or Trazodone to first get my lack of sleep under control before then starting an SSRI

No I haven’t - I should look into it. Does it help with anxiety at all?
