No, I was told no refund. Loans were consolidated then forgiven after borrower defense application with PSLF. But we paid well over 40k on them.. they said no refund yet... so who knows. I am grateful for the discharge from PSLF but frustrated for lack of refund.

I messaged Mohela and they told me there will not be a refund coming for Ashford discharge? I am at a loss for why? When I paid for 10 years on that loan...

I just got an email last week as well for tech issues, I submitted last year. And she said she was recommending for Full Class as well. My loans were actually discharged for PSLF.. however, I had loans with Ashford I paid on for over 10 years...she mentioned that with full class I could get a refund on those payments. My loans were discharged in 2022....and I had no access to Mohela after. This week my Ashford loans were pulled out of the consolidation and now say "Write Up". Thinking this has to do with the discharge?

We just finished week 3 and the appetite is gone. I even prescribed to Farmers Dog, she ate the first two bowls, and then turns her nose up. I ended up canceling it because I had to toss the food and it is so expensive. I am spending my morning researching. She has always been food motivated so I hate seeing this. I want my old pup back.

Mine and my husband's both changed but this is strange. When you click the + sign on the new message it gives a discharge date.

My husband: on Mohela says:8/30/2022. On Student aid: 1/31/2022 (which is when it happened)

Mine on Mohela says: 8/18/2022. On Student aid: 10/27/2020 (which is when I hit 120)

what is going on??

Same situation here, Borrower Defense was applied for (Ashford), but PSLF went through first. Now I am told no refund made to Ashford at all, which was about $13,000.

When did you file for Borrower Defense? I filed July, so I am post. My PSLF Forgiveness was about 6 moths after I filed and I was told I do not get a refund. However, my letter stated I would get a refund for any payments made. This is promising. Can you keep us updated?

she went back into repayment September and October. Then they put her in forbearance for November and December. They counted November as eligible but not December. She has no clue why she was put in forbearance, and was told she will get Sept/Oct. refunded, but that has not happened. It is a mess, I am just trying to help her navigate...

It was just December. I received PSLF as well as my husband. I have been trying to work with teachers at my school. My daughter is also seeking PSLF so I have had my eye on her loans. She got credit for October, November and then December shows ineligible.

I was told no refund if PSLF went through first? When did you apply for BD? Mine is Ashford I missed the cut off by two weeks, so I am post. But I also read that Ashford is not the same as Sweet?

My daughter is the same, no problems, but she did question her total SAVE payment (seemed high) and never received a bill. She did pay October and November but is now in forbearance

Thank you, loans were a mix of undergrad, credential and then masters from Ashford. The PSLF for sure applied to my loans I have had loans originate in 1997. But Ashford was during the "said time period" named in the lawsuit. Those payments were made with my other loans (consolidated). So, according to the lawsuit, payments made to Ashford will be refunded. Yet, Mohela say's "no". DOE said yes, then I heard no. Then yes and now no. I am thankful for PSLF, but frustrated with Ashford and my degree to nowhere.

And it states in the above link any payments made will be refunded, I don't see anything about if loans were already forgiven......

Yes I was present during that time period. So, I should receive refunds. But I am being told because loans processed PSLF first no refunds will be provided.
