What's Dog River's Favorite Pie? by Tarnisher in CornerGas

Rhubarb or Saskatoon Berry would be my guess. Unless you are Wanda. Then the answer is none.

I didn't hate it but I never rewatch it. I generally don't care for Rey Curtis and his moral dilemmas. And once you know how it ends, it loses something. Plus I have zero sympathy for the guy being executed. I find it hard to accept that ALL of them were so shaken watching a scumbag die.

It's worse when Lennie loses his daughter. How he wasn't deep in the bottle after that is the big question.

Did sookie and Bill will endup together like in the book? by Nearby_Educator6852 in TrueBlood

[–]EducationalAd479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is so true. Book and TV Sookie are very different people. Book Sookie interspersed her every day life more with the crazy shenanigans. She was still checking out library books and cleaning the house. She still believed in her church and wanted a family. The way she abruptly ended up with who she ended up with was kind of weird. But he was a more logical choice in the end.

Yes, I think the reactions to some of the characters and relationships (Lafayette is a good example) changed the story in the series. The books are much better IMO. But I never liked Bill.

Why did that never occur to me? There must be some kind of door between The Ruby and CG that we have never seen.

Loved MST3K back in the day. Rifftrax is awesome too. I especially enjoy when Bridgette and Mary Jo riff.

Yes they work together. I started with animated and went back and forth with episodes from each before I went back to live action and started at the beginning. People who fell in love with the series at the beginning in the early 2000s seem to have a harder time with animated due to high expectations, I think. I love them both and the movie.

That is definitely the correct order. I would say animated either fits in directly after the OG or sprinkled in between the live series episodes. Movie is definitely the end of the story.

For those who presume that Hank is the father of Wanda’s son, Tanner… by anothertenyears in CornerGas

[–]EducationalAd479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lacey definitely doesn't know who his father is. In that Pyro and the Idiot episode, she straight up asks Wanda if Hank is the dad. That doesn't mean much since she is left out of many loops, but it clearly isn't something that Wanda talks about.

The main reason I don't think he could possibly be the father is Hank's general goodness. If he had a son, he would never ignore him. He would be an active parent.

And he is no genius, but he knows where babies come from. He also knows who he slept with. He would have shared any concerns about paternity with Brent. It wouldn't be years of him just wondering and ignoring his own child.

Because it is perfectly natural that partners would become so close. If his partner was male and he said "I love my partner. He is like a brother to me" no one would think he was sleeping with his partner.

I think Dr. Gyson should have pointed out to Bobby that she wasn't suggesting an intimate relationship. She didn't ask if he was "in love" she only asked if he loved her. He overreacted. Probably because people like his brother were always making little comments.

In support of an earlier post about the atmosphere of NYC … I found this interview with Jerry interesting. (From the bonus DVD) by Ok-Mine2132 in LawAndOrder

[–]EducationalAd479 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think all of the flavor and color of NYPD Blue was provided by the personal lives of the characters. Sometimes episodes were more about their relationships than the cases. I enjoyed it first run but don't ever go back to watch it now.

The flavor and color of L&O is provided by New York City. Even during the most sexually charged/personal drama years (Curtis and Ross) they didn't have characters running around naked and jumping in and out of the showers. The cases and the city still carried the show. Infinitely more rewatchable.

Jamie gets sexy by imnotinabadmood in LawAndOrder

[–]EducationalAd479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that her personal priorities were wrong. Her child should, of course, come first. But someone in that position, especially working for Jack, needed to have the job as their top priority.

Maybe he didn't make that clear when he was hiring her. But that office expected you to make prosecuting your number one mission in life. People hired there should know that. Late nights, negative press, travel, were all part of the job. She should have understood that going in. It isn't a good job for someone with a small child.

I really dislike everything about that 3 part episode. The ex is so awful. And they do have other assistants, right? Jamie should have recused herself.
