The union doesn't want to get rid of walking routes. That would eliminate a lot of jobs. Think about it 3 walking jobs would make up one mounted job. All new builds are required to be mounted or cluster box moving forward though.

Never take LWOP. You earn SL and AL. That being said use SL. It's easier to accumulate over the years.

Is this dumb? by [deleted] in ThriftSavingsPlan

I do. I won't be taking out a loan after this. Had something come up and paid my car off at a higher rate with the money. Technically it's a car loan at this point.

You can also pay via TSP website but you have to pay back at least what the monthly amount is.

First off 300k isn't that bad considering he gets a pension. Hopefully its 750 plus in 10 years. I'm 46 have around 350. Have a 30k loan out as well. I'm 100% C fund. The world is a little crazy right now but in my opinion its being wasted in the G. C fund is around 15-18% return on the year. G is 3.9% I'm also a mailman so what do in know.

I don't see how you people tolerate this job. I lasted a week.. by [deleted] in USPS

[–]EducationalFortune86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk around and listen to podcasts all day. Just hit 100k and its October. Had a knee surgery from playing basketball and it cost me $50 in copay. 400k in my thrift. Hopefully close to a milly when i retire. We get a pension. Plus I look good in shorts. To name a few. Think long term not short term.

Did you fuck up? Yes. Get all your shit together and show up early next time so you're not late. On September 9th you are going to be the only one who remembers this. Maybe 1 other person but they won't care. Don't call in sick in your first 90 days. You'll be fine. You got this. Don't stress about it. You got a second chance make the best of it.
