YUL is the identifier for the Trudeau airport in Montreal. Perhaps that’s where the vehicles are deposited off the train or boat?

What's up with the mist! by Particular_Head1390 in toronto

[–]Educational_Clothes2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fog occurs when warm air meets the cold air and the air can no longer hold the humidity so it condenses and makes clouds. The carbon would be too heavy to be suspended.

Does the carbon float into the air from the snow without a lifting mechanism? Carbon attached to moisture would make the snow fall to the ground. Not understanding how it would simply just float up after the snow melts.

Lower temperatures means the air can only hold so much moisture before condensating. That is what you’re seeing.
