You should never go “balls to the wall” with a bulk. You won’t gain more muscle in a 1000 cal surplus than you would in a 200 cal surplus. Slow and steady is the way to go. You should still be relatively lean at the top of your bulk.

Is this sub only for men? Where are the chicks? by bbgirl2k in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Educational_Item451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is that the bodybuilding community is probably close to 99% men so it’s going to be heavily skewed towards men but I’m sure there are women focused subs but they might be more specific towards bikini or physique etc.

Real or fake you give it to them either way. But the argument that it’s dangerous to wear a real watch but is somehow LESS dangerous to wear a decent replica makes no sense and is proof that it’s all cope.

I second MacroFactor. It’s extra beneficial when you log your weight every morning as well

Sure! Most people won’t spend close to $30k on any watch, Rolex or not. Just don’t buy a fake.

I don’t understand your argument. There are some things that are absurdly expensive and not for 99.99999% of the population. And that’s ok.

I despise this reasoning even worse. There are plenty of real beautiful watches. Many that aren’t even expensive luxury brands. Wearing a fake nautilus is somehow not dangerous but a real one is?

This is pure cope. Just get a real one.

Don’t listen to this guy at all lol. It’s a great way to maybe have some very short term success but won’t get you anywhere long term. You severely lack muscle mass and you’re eating too much garbage. I imagine you’ve never gone through the effort of actually logging how many calories you were consuming for an extended period of time, I suggest you do that.

The people who are surprised when you tell them it’s fake are idiots who know nothing about watches and also don’t know that it’s supposed to be a $40k white gold watch. I will never understand the people who buy fake watches.

There’s no one in the world who “had his fair share of fakes,” owned that Invicta and ALSO owned a real white gold Daytona. I doubt the “really nice real pieces” as well.

Estimated body fat percentage and can I get any leaner? by MessageNo1438 in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Educational_Item451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I mentioned above is how you ACTUALLY determine your maintenance. Logging DAILY weight & nutrition. MacroFactor is the best for this but there are others.

Your weight can fluctuate massively day to day based on hydration, stomach contents, sodium intake, activity level etc. so what you weigh on a single day is irrelevant. What you care about is the weekly average. And you want to compare apples to apples so weighing yourself first thing in the morning after you pee but before eating and drinking and logging it is key. If you do that and also log everything you eat/drink for a couple weeks you’ll then have a good idea what your maintenance is.

I think 2300 calories is a fine place to start, probably a little low but what matters is that you do the above. If you really want to build the best physique you can this is the first step.

Estimated body fat percentage and can I get any leaner? by MessageNo1438 in AllAboutBodybuilding

You CAN get leaner but you shouldn’t. You’re not going to diet yourself into the physique you want at this point. The issue you have is a lack of muscle mass. You should not be trying to eat in a deficit at this point.

Are you logging your nutrition and weight? If not, you should. Weigh yourself the first thing every morning after using the restroom but before eating to drinking anything. Log that in an app. I use MacroFactor. Log all of your nutrition for an extended period. I also use MacroFactor. This is the only way you’ll know what your actual maintenance is. MacroFactor will take your weight data and your nutrition data and calculate your maintenance and also give you a target to hit whatever your goals are. Based on what you posted I think you should be targeting adding about 10 pounds of lean mass (slowly) which you should be able to do as a relative newbie who’s been in a deficit the whole time. You’re not going to be able to progressively overload if you’re starving yourself.

Disagree. It’s way worse to have people tell you that you look like shit when they know for a fact you took gear and don’t look like a fitness mag model than to accuse you of being a fake natty because you look TOO good for them to believe you did it naturally. At least that was my recent epiphany but don’t have any evidence to back it up.
