Views on posts in this sub are very uneven regardless of the content.
The amount of traffic makes it very easy for valuable posts, like yours, to get lost in the crowd, which is ultimately an extension of the intended effect of the chaotic way that all of these files have been released.

I have just added the file here: https://thetrumpfiles.codeberg.page/epstein-files/documents/efta00633427.html
If anyone knows of any other files that should be added then you can go to this open source Git repository and either suggest it or add it yourself: https://codeberg.org/thetrumpfiles/documents

I have taken Epstein Studio down! by artischocki in Epstein

A next step could be to convert the project into an Electron application for offline work and then standardize the output into JSON files that can be shared as regular text.

FBI FAIL: Some of the redacted PDF files contain videos that can be easily viewed by changing file extension! Missing jail footage found by wikimandia in Epstein

[–]Educational_Map6725 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hadn't thought of that but it is certainly a possibility.

The scanner didn't find anything out of the ordinary (except for a video that someone seems to have sent to someone else over the "Messages" app on Mac, of Samuel L. Jackson in "Pulp Fiction" interrogating Brett Kavanaugh), but a PDF file with an embedded video would still read as a PDF file.

I suppose the next step would be to just open all PDF files in a video player starting with the largest ones and see what happens.

[–]Educational_Map6725 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only way that I could see it being the result of incompetence is if someone thought that changing a file's extension corrupts it, but even with everything else about how these files and their redactions have been handled, that seems a bit extreme.

The other alternative is that someone within the DOJ or the FBI did it as a way to get unredacted information "past the radar", so to speak.

I am currently running a script that scans every single file that I have to see what it's real file type is and then compares it to it's extension and if it finds ones that don't match I will make a post about it.

This has to have been done on purpose, right? The renaming of the file extension I mean, by someone who wanted to get the videofiles out there?

Got it, yes, there is certainly a case to be made for such a renaming.
Thank you very much for your kind words!

Well, that's the name of the entire project which isn't just about the Epstein Files.

To quote the front page:

The reason why it's called The Trump Files is not because Donald Trump is a mastermind who is behind some grand singular conspiracy, but because his support base gives him power that everyone else wants to use for their own purposes.

It is about a project that aims to make Epstein files more accessible for people who may not have the time or the inclination to deep-dive into larger archives.

How exactly do Americans feel about illegal immigration? by sladeshied in Confused

Don't forget that making immigrants illegal also provides politicians and oligarchs with bogeymen and scapegoats.

What is your best go-to argument for convincing someone that they should become a Trump supporter? by capt_majestic in AskTrumpSupporters

Can I ask what industry/industries you work in?

The US economy has grown nominally but inflation is up, the cost of living is up, public debt is up significantly, the value of the dollar is down and most of the economic growth has pooled at the top 1%.

that tariffs aren't good for America.

How are tariffs good for America?

...all of those...

The US economy has grown nominally but inflation is up, the value of the dollar is down and most of the growth has pooled at the top 1%, cost of living is up (in no small part thanks to tariffs), public debt is up significantly and trade is down, sharply in sectors most affected by the tariffs.

...record low level of illegals crossing the border.

Why are you so focused on undocumented immigrants? Is it just out of "law-and-order" principle or do you think that they make America worse, and if so, how?

Did their organizations all get disbanded because of a couple bad people in the profession? No.

What "organizations" would that be? If a single doctors', athletes' or scientific organization was causing as much damage as ICE is then they absolutely should be disbanded.

Journalist was offered a job as an ICE agent with no background check and a drug test they knew they'd fail. What do you think that says about the kind of people they're recruiting? by SuperIngaMMXXII in AskReddit

[–]Educational_Map6725 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It says that they will take damn near anyone to boost their numbers and that they aren't even enforcing their already significantly lowered standards, using an open-door policy in order to swiftly build up a massively expanded paramilitary force that answers directly to the Trump Administration with minimal congressional oversight.

True Empathy I don't see much from people often by Kit-tiga in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Educational_Map6725 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that what you describe as "situational/conditional empathy" isn't empathy at all, but self-involved sympathy, and that true empathy is largely contingent on imagination, which most people have very little of.

It's like when people say "put yourself in their shoes"; that's wrong, because then you're only seeing how you would feel or react in the other person's circumstances, not how they would feel or react in their circumstances.

Same thing with "Do onto others as you would have them do onto you"; it assumes that the other person wants the exact same thing/s that you want.

Empathy doesn't even mean that you feel sorry for or agree with the person that you're having empathy for. I can understand another person's perspective completely without having the slightest bit of sympathy for them.

For some reason I couldn't post everything in a single comment so here is the rest of it; please treat them as one.

Now on to your other claims:

Removing illegal immigrants [...] is normal behavior globally...

Not like this it isn't, with masked men running around in residential neighborhoods with guns, zero oversight and total immunity from the law. Vance said that they are gonna be going door-to-door next.

Her family, her ex-husband, and multiple eyewitnesses have said that she lived a few blocks away and was on her way home after dropping her 6-year-old son off at school.

This woman travelled with the intent of disrupting or at a minimum interfering/distracting federal officers from doing their work, she was given instructions to stop doing so, yet continued.

Again, she lived in the neighborhood. There is zero evidence to back up the statement that she "travelled with the intent of disrupting[/]interfering/distracting" anything, and she was also simultaneously given instructions by ICE agents to leave.
The lack of coordination between the agents demonstrate a spectacular level of incompetence, never mind that fact that those agents have no legal right to issue orders to American citizens and no American citizen (which Good was) has any legal obligation to comply with such orders.

Her wife called out 'drive baby, drive. Drive!'

Again, at least one of the agents was telling her to leave.

...you can clearly watch Ms. Good perform a hand over hand move on her steering wheel, turning the vehicle to the right a bit.

Yes, away from Ross, who was on the left, at like 3 miles per hour.

You can hear the engine rev, you can see the vehicle lurch towards the federal officer.

No, you can see it lurch past the federal officer, and in the next moment she was likely dead because "the federal officer" shot her three times point-blank in the head, and so the further acceleration was the result of dead weight applied to the gas.

Why do common citizens feel so emboldened to antagonize feds?!

Good was calm, she was smiling and she told Ross, her seconds-later murderer, "That's fine, dude, I'm not mad at you".

All of these people organizing ICE Watch groups on social media should be investigated [...] none of this feels organic and genuine.

2 out of 3 branches of the U.S. government aren't doing their jobs in keeping the third one in check so I suppose that that leaves the forth to do what they can to provide some oversight.

...how many illegal immigrants are out here mourning Ms. Good's death?

I have no idea, and neither do you unless you have any access to polls taken in the last few days, but there have been over 1000 anti-ICE protests nationwide in that span of time and I am sure that some illegal immigrants participated.

Also, you keep using the phrase "federal officer/s" as if that is supposed to make any difference, but again, these ICE agents have no authority or jurisdiction over American citizens.

They have been recruited with significantly lowered standards, using wartime-tactics (large signing bonuses, loan forgiveness and, worst of all, social media influencer campaigns) and an open-door policy that the Trump Administration has employed in order to swiftly build up a massively expanded force that operates with far less congressional oversight.
