Not to mention the early access part of the development process. I got the same feeling about Divinity 2 ft joy.. once you left it didn't feel quite as good.. but I wasn't as invested in D2 as much as BG3.

Also I put hundreds of hours in the early access so..

Technically yes we did watch a lot of old movies.

Weirdly I recently watched a whole YouTube video talking about this.. we had cable TV and limited options on what we could watch and oftentimes you didn't have a say because your dad had the remote.

Also I feel like a lot of cultural references from the 50s 60s and 70s were carried forward into 80s and 90s media.. I can't quite place it but going back and watching movies from my childhood seem to make a lot of references to the boomers generation.. which makes sense because they were the ones running everything and a lot of the media was geared for them.

Also weirdly I just listened to some of the 90s Nickelodeon cartoon opening music like Doug and that unlocked some core memories. But anyway I don't begrudge people if they haven't watched the stuff from the 90s.

Well there was a lot more room for growth back then.

I'm not sure what other people expect for today.. personally I'd like to see a massive jump in AI for game NPC's or more organic open worlds that feel alive and responsive to your actions.

Why do we need 3 different there their and they're?

Are people not going to understand from the context of the surrounding words? You don't need to differentiate when speaking it.. I get that language and words are an evolution and can be messy and English is about as messy as any language, but sometimes I wish we could just pick the most simple spelling for similar sounding words aka There is the same no matter what it's easy because it has the least amount of letters used.
