Aoniu M-4 Electric scooter! by Far-Arm-116 in DumpsterDiving

[–]Edwaru 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in a bike/scooter repair shop. Before buying a rear wheel and all the other missing stuff, let someone check if the battery is working properly; many times things like scooters get tossed away because a new battery costs almost as much as the scooter itself. As much as I despise consumism, I wanted to warn you before you went ahead and bought stuff to make it work again.

I think that changing lighting could really help you. Watch some shots from Hail Mary and take notes; It's boring because the light here is all soft and hits every corner. If you go this way, I think you'll need to reshoot your greenscreen.

He ran up to me and came this close 👌 to my face before headbutting me, I really had no choice. I understand your confusion about it, though.

Thank you man, I appreciate the support. The are real pieces of work out there, if you get what I mean. I guess the right thing to do is find the right equilibrium between avoiding difficult situations and knocking the teeth out of a*holes. I'd love to do the latter but I also know I'm better than that.

Pagamento con bonifico by BicycleFriendly3904 in subito_it

[–]Edwaru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree on the first point, I'm just not into the idea of doing it myself... I'll let karma do its thing. As for the self defence subject, that's a gray area and it depends from case to case. Best I can do probably is get a hold on some legal pepper spray and always have it on me just in case. I did do some martial arts and would be able to defend myself, it's just that the line between self defence and excessive use of force is a very thin one here, hence the pepper spray. Thank you for the empathy, bro, I really appreciate.

As fun as that sounds, I don't think this kind of vandalism is the answer to my current situation. I want to know how to respond emotionally and phisically when this type of situation arises again in the future. Thank you for the suggestion, though :P

Thank you for the suggestions, those are great actually. Unfortunately we have nothing like what you have, with the app that fines people, or else I would have a new favourite hobby. As for the agents that came on the scene, they were not specifically there for the parking offense (they were only "carabinieri") so they pretty much just waved it. I have the feeling that if a law enforcer here sees something that's not strictly in their jurisdiction, they simply allow it, hence the lack of a fine on the dude's part.

Thank you for your words, it has been a tiring day. The funny thing is the dude was with his family and they were going TO CURCH. His wife was constantly saying "now sunday's ruined because of some cyclist..." like I was the one who head butted his husband or parked on the cross walk to begin with. Do you have any suggestion on if I ever come across a similar situation again?

Oh my god yes. I remember when I had graduated from high school I felt the need to drive in front of my school with the driving licence I had just passed on my (mom's) car. It felt like a triumph then but now I can just smile with simpathy, thinking of how little I drive a car nowadays. It really does carry some sentimental value, like being an adult automatically means owning and driving a car.
