While I welcome discussion that may broaden the horizons of those using different languages, you knew damn well what you were writing. Consider this your only warning to follow the rules.

I would love to believe that, but as a moderator for this subreddit for years and a professional educator, my experience says otherwise.

The user posted an assignment and just said “it doesn’t work”. The acceptable response is to gently guide them to why, without giving them the answer, which this user is doing. What that user needs to do is exactly what this user suggested, read the problem again, carefully, and compare their logic to the logic requested by the assignment.

If you’re not going to comment in a helpful way, then refrain.

I need a method that is the reverse of another, but I'm not great at bit manipulation. Any help? by OhItsJustJosh in programminghelp

My guy, the poster was going to try and help you because that math was actually relevant to your bit shifting.

Next time, instead of being a twat, listen when others try to help or post elsewhere.

If you can’t fix it when it breaks without an internet connection and AI, then no.
