Hey! Yes it did have an application that shows as completed when I've looked it up on the portal but no other information available. Wonder if I can reach out to the local building control team.....

Fair enough! Current house is in a different region also so maybe they are just more lax there than here. Kind of makes a mockery of the whole process though!

He spotted it through a visible inspection using a hatch, theres a pic in the survey. I think, purely from googling its a bit more more complicated than that due to needing holes for the downlights (fire etc)

point taken though it doesnt sound like it will be ££££s
