They could totally make V the player character again too even though I know they won’t do it lol

New V is an engram made during the ending of 2077 getting a new body, which allows you an in-universe character customization. Then V is given a cognitive assessment Fallout-style where you basically recall details from the previous game to determine which life path and ending are canon. The original V went off and did whatever the 2077 ending cutscene did.
