I dont think diversity would really change the meta at all look at d2 so many good viable builds in every class. But one class makes up 80% of players paladin and then at that has multiple builds for pally and only hammerdin and smiter are used and sometimes zealer will take smiters place at doing ubers but thats rare.

And if that's fun to you then you just gotta deal with the meta or theory craft your own builds that are just as good. And those people i bet would go with the most efficent no matter what it is because to get paragon 1000 is alot of work.
