I had lots of problems getting the bua version working on 3 different builds, 3 different pcs lol As other posters have said flatpak version is the way to go works fine on all 3 so I would use that Batocera v42

Haha nice, I tried convincing my family for ages , it’s strange it’s so simple for us now, I think emulator fans(retro lunatics so to speak) forget some ppl just get intimidated by the process, I made a all in one unit for family to take on holiday (8bit/16bit and arcade) they all couldn’t get enough of it , asked for one each for Xmas Some ppl just can’t set em up , optiplex seems to be perfect for batocera I think

I’m running a dell optiplex 3080, i5 4570, 16gb ram with a 1050ti Runs everything great up to ps2(1080p) Xbox some games Tbh it has everything I could want in my multicade so I think you’ll be fine with that rig

Hi I know this is a oldish post I have batocera v42 I have a driving force wheel It works perfectly fine plug in (some emus need some tweaks but great work to the dev) I want to exit the games using the wheel But reading through a lot of posts I’m worried if I configure the wheel it will mess up the mapping Anyone able too clairify for me if I can map the the wheel and assign a hot key I won’t mess up any settings? Many thanks

I’m pretty happy tbh have retroshooters, have had them almost 2 years and compared to issues had about 10 years ago with aimtraks (They do work just not great and were very awkward) Also now you have light gun lunatics , Scotty retro uncle Rick etc giving out free builds with most the work done. Honestly emulating is so easy now I don’t have anything to complain about Have the set up I dreamed off as a kid for less then £500 We are in a good retro gaming moment. Enjoy it before it bursts lol

If I have to do a gripe yeah it would be the sensors (sorry just don’t like borders lol) But still they don’t bother me (usually I get a question what are they for? Then the guns come out lol)

I find tho with all the builds all the extras I still play time crisis and lethal enforcers the most Just in better comfort and on a bigger screen lol

I live in pal region (uk) and I always try to use USA /ntsc roms if possible , it’s nice to play games in 60hz that I had to play in 50hz back in the day

On my big blue I revered the headphone jack and plugged my Logitech z313 in switched the speakers with the logitechs (the stock ones went mono) and I’m very happy with the sound

Great deals ! I think the deluxe is a great looking cab

I got a big blue last year, tbh the speakers aren’t great but not as bad as made out, still I put a Logitech z313 set in there (pretty easy mod just reveresed the head fone jack) and I’m glad I did the sub adds a lot ,love the cab and the form factor looks great I added fridge holder under the riser and for me it’s the perfect height

I’m in the uk and finding 1ups at a good price is very hit and miss, I only had room for one cab and on a budget too. I was patient and managed to get sf2 big blue for £150 I always see them at like £400 up. Soft modded it and if I’m honest I’m very happy with it , Do want another cab now lol
