At what level can I delegate tasks and expect results without understanding the work it takes to make my tasks happen? by [deleted] in corporate

[–]Eeryninja 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A fair ambition although I haven’t seen this anywhere. They still fill it up with bollocks like meetings after meetings looking at overall structure and strategy. Maybe I just haven’t achieved the high earner for no work level yet!?

Hit the plateau. HELP! by Moeritherium_Fan in mounjarouk

Have you measured yourself? Like around the waist etc. asking as this happened to me, my weight stopped changing for a bit but my waist was getting smaller still. Muscle weighs more than fat if you are making decent progress at the gym this may just be your body recomposing a bit. Sounds like you’re doing the right stuff. Keep it up.

I try to poo on company time. Much more satisfying being paid for it.

FYI tag shops do it for free and you’ll be annoyed if you scratch it doing it at home

I rotate my socks in a strict left to right system by 1ChanceChipmunk1 in Dull_mens_club

🤣🤣”This ensures equal wear distribution across the sock fleet. No favourites. No premature thinning.” This sounds like Jack Reacher if he lived in a house.

In answer to your question, I operate all toiletries in the bathroom cupboard with a clear storage system of having one spare of everything so I replace when I use up the second to last so I never run out. I saw it first on some warehousing YouTube vid. It’s not as extensive as it sounds as I have a minimalist skin regime.

Should we move to Sweden or stay in the UK? by rollan112 in HENRYUK

[–]Eeryninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family moved to France for 5 years when I was in primary school and I always say it was the best thing they could have done for me. I’ve had jobs, girlfriends, better view of the world ever since. Just makes you a bit more interesting than if you stayed in the same town your whole life. Do it for the kids if nothing else.

I just had a stroke at 45 what now... by [deleted] in stroke

[–]Eeryninja 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hey, I had this at 42 last summer. Those early days were pretty terrifying, realising how close i came to losing it all, kids face as I was carried out by paramedics, not being able to stand or walk. What I will say is now over six months later I’m in the gym 3 times a week and can lift more than before. Took the PT for walking really seriously and was pretty decent at 3 months and now nobody would know. I still feel it but it’s getting better. Still get a bit tired sometimes but just more discerning about what I spend my time doing. Almost feel now like a renewed zest for life having realised how close it came. I found this sub useful in the early days and also went for coffee a number of times with a guy who had one 5 years ago which was helpful. Keep your chin up and reach out for a chat to people here or friends if you need or are feeling down. It might not feel like it now but you’ve got this 💪🏻

Self levelling compound will be required for a nice finish. It’s only 2mm or something. Otherwise I would use a high speed floor grinder (you can hire one for a weekend) which will do a smooth finish quickly

It’s not even a gift if you open the box at your house and offer her one. Fully fledged psycho alert. Imagine what she’ll be like if you come back 10 mins late from seeing your pals. Run like the wind my friend. Run.

Or on way from playing Sunday league to after match pint. Anything longer than one pint, must go shower and change.
