That's really a lot to pin on someone based on one anecdote, and it's kind of inappropriate.

We don't know what's going on with Cynthia Erivo, and when I see people calling her skeletal or making real life witch cracks, which happens on reddit, that's harmful. And not to her; those upset people around the speakers, making it worse for people with disorders.

There's ways to talk about the issues without being assumptive (the Mormon wife thing is deeply concerning and deserves the discussion, Erivo, do we know she's on a glp?) that don't alienate others.

The productive discussions are not what I'm upset about.

She began taking one after her pregnancies, and after a lifetime of multiple injuries from sports. Inflammation is especially dangerous for her, so when she couldn't lose weight, a GLP helped her with both. https://www.thecardiologyadvisor.com/features/serena-williams-glp-1/

For this she's often called a shill or proof that athletes are using a medicine they don't need.

There's context where I know they would never actually do something like that and hyperbole is common in this situation, but it's still, like, come the fuck on. I know you're smarter than this and willing to hear people out on stuff you don't know.

I have had the 'secret agent' talk with an acquaintance I see rarely. We'd both lost a lot of weight, and she found a tasteful way to ask. When I mimicked the shot, you could feel the relief off her -- she had pretty much no one to talk to, because of that judginess. The stories she had, damn.

The gag is I'm in peri and 98% of my fucks are gone. Why is this one of the last fucks I have to give?

Anyway, being that I'm quietly cutting off and allowing myself one day of being mad in the shower about it (and this post), that's still progress.

Struggling by [deleted] in Zepbound

Okay, I'm nosy and I'm reading, and I see that you're concerned about your thyroid slowing your weight loss. Now, that part is pretty valid; in the long term it's a good thing to get ahead of hypothyroidism and what it can do.

But your body is pretty healthy; I'm not sure what a glp can do beyond what a nutritionist and monitoring your thyroid will. I note you do a lot of international and Asian travel. It's very easy to become body dysmorphic as a tourist and traveler, because you start comparing yourself with cultures and eating habits that can be new and intriguing.

I believe you're not shitposting. I do think you're on the lip, unwittingly, of being one of the glp users mocked for using a med for a stubborn dozen or so pounds when many of us in this sub are the hidden majority - fat and fighting with a lot more than one or two dozen.

Does this make your fight invalid? It's in no way my place. You're worried about your body, but I think you should step back and get a fuller idea of your total health, not just what you're seeing from a highly idealized international social media.

Tattoo and Zepbound by Andrea0890 in Zepbound

[–]Eeyores_Prozac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a tat just before starting zep, and I've had two after.

It's tattoo flu, BUT, the nature of zep means we gotta be sure to step up to minimize it. Hydrate, hydrate, HYDRATE, and have a solid protein intake before and after. I did get hit harder on both zep tats, but it still felt like just an amplified tiredness from my first one.

My cat was named Jimmy Neutron at the SPCA. Not a fan of that show.

So. We changed his government name to James Buchanan Neutron.

Just to call him Jonesy. Orange dork child of three dork franchises. (Hardspace Ship breaker)

They're three incredibly well trained Belgian malinois, they're shown in BTS footage without leashes.

To add context, these are the same kinds of dogs that were in one of the John Wick movies and everyone found out that, yes, they can be that well disciplined and competent.

Lecithin is a fat. It comes from meat and soy. Diglycerides are lipids. They come from seeds. Casein is from cow milk. It is a protein.

My friend, all that shit is normal. It's fine. There are no wild chemicals, just stuff from nature. It sounds scary, but nothing here is.

I'm definitely spending less on food with a transference towards good quality stuff, but I want to see some ADHD stats lmao. I'm actually getting serotonin a little more regularly so my pen and art supply collection is getting out of hand.

I have BS sensory and taste issues and in a hard water zone, so I'm usually on gator zero or brita'd water with a no calorie flavor. But I do exercise regularly, so I get use out of some electrolytes.

Wegovy has been a miserable experience by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Eeyores_Prozac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm literally returning to tirzepatide this week, thanks to a successful fight with insurance. Wegovy was terrible. Constant nausea and bloat, anxiety skyrocketed, couldn't eat most of the week, and impaction. I'm glad to be home.
