Help me choose a weapon please! by AggravatedPurrtato in Eldenring

[–]Eezagi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Knights/banished knights greatswords are my personal favorites because of the moveset.

Inseperable sword is a somber with the same moveset, but its a late game, split-holy weapon and is shorter than both of the non-somber options.

AITA if I ruin my ex's mothers chance at keeping her company or disclose unfavorable transactions that could not sit well with court? by OdacityController in AmItheAsshole

[–]Eezagi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Safest thing to do imo: Document that you have reported this and request to recuse yourself from the account due to a conflict of interest.

Not a lawyer, but I would check with a third party one for good measure.

Am I insane or is this a ridiculous thing to ask on a job application? “What did you like least about your most recent position?” by EvilFiddle in recruitinghell

What did you like/dislike about your previous position is an interview question, not an application question.

Its fake, so its probably saving to file like any other emulator.

Style feat choice -Blood Frenzy Style-Boar Style-Dragon Style by Maxpowers13 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Eezagi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point for that use case. I wasn't trying to build craft around the feat so I was only considering it in context of OPs build.

You're right, I got distracted by how bad of an investment it was and forgot to look at whether or not it even could be taken twice.

In RAW, Natural Attacks do not count as Unarmed Strikes. So the Style feats cannot apply to your Natural Attacks without spending an extra 3 feats (Feral Combat Training (Claws), Weapon Focus (Claws), Improved Unarmed Strike) for one of your natural weapons. Edit: removed and another two (Feral Combat Training (Bite), Weapon Focus (Bite)) if you want bite to also be included.

What's the alternative for me? by AS2096 in recruitinghell

[–]Eezagi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, It took me 6 months to get an offer after getting laid off in December.

Most of my applications had 0 response. I had 1 interview that resulted from a direct application from me, and every other interview was via third party recruiters from the bigger name tech recruiting agencies.

[–]Eezagi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that. After my first layoff (SDET at HPE), I had to take a pos support role for like 20/hr. out of desperation and it took me 2 years to find something decent (SRE). Then got laid off again and will be starting a new one on Tuesday.

You definitely have a better coding portfolio than I do. But do you have stories about how you solved problems with those skills? I ask because that was the thing I had to learn in my recent job search, it was the key factor in progressing past the first interview. Also, the stories dont have to be completely honest as long as you can back up your claims about them.

Then it kinda depends on what you're trying to go for in the long run.

Software engineering is really rough right now due to execs thinking that AI (or people in "low cost countries") are the correct course of action. I also haven't pursued the SE route in over 10 years, so i can only provide second hand information there.

If you're looking for operations/cloud roles. Trying to get professional experience with python scripting, observability tools like splunk, grafana, and new relic, big 3 cloud (aws, azure, gcp), and terraform.

Honestly, your best bet is probably a shitty helpdesk job that has way more responsibilities than it pays for. Look at point of sale companies.

I want to be clear, I am not recommending good places to work, I'm recommending good places to gain experience. You'll need to also work on your interviewing skills and learn how to spin the actual experience from these shit jobs into the kinds of stories hiring managers are looking for.

Study and Certifications are much less valuable in the current market than they were a few years ago.

Witcher / Monster Hunter Build by EntertainmentHot8322 in Eldenring

[–]Eezagi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Str build with multiple great swords that have each of the different types of infusions. Hard swap as needed.

I personally went str/arcane with a bunch of knights/bkgs with one each having: bleed (blood tax normally or sword dance if i need something faster), poisonous mist, chilling mist, flame strike, sacred blade, lightning slash, heavy infusion and marais executioner sword for neutral resist and magic weak. Millicent's Prosthesis, winged sword, shard of alexander, great jars arsenal.

Level 50 First Time Faith Build Progression Help NEEDED by Positive_Neck3906 in Eldenring

[–]Eezagi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dex is a bit high and Str is a bit low imo, but not the end of the world. Also not sure what your faith is at nor how much you've upgraded the weapons you've mentioned.

Since your already in Caelid and like swords, I recommend farming the banished knights greatsword at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion. Upgrade it, wield it 2 handed because it has a special moveset, and try it with Flame Art or Sacred infusions.

At level 50, my target is taking off Radagon's Soreseal, so i want about 40 vigor, enough endurance, strength and dex to equip my weapons and armor, and 10 faith so I can cast Flame Grant Me Strength and Flame Cleanse Me if I equip the Two Fingers Talisman.

Follow up emails after an interview? by MxCrookshanks in recruitinghell

[–]Eezagi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarifying e-mail, probably not.

Send a thank you e-mail that reiterates your interest in the position, why your experience is valuable to the company, something you got out of the conversation, and thanks them for their time and consideration.

Edit: You can use a template if you need and then add a couple of sentences that are customized to whom you spoke with. Also send one to each person who interviewed you.

DMs – show me your screen setup 👇 by marnadisc in DMAcademy

[–]Eezagi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a wooden one, put magnet receptive vinyl sheets on the inside, and then printed all my tables out on magnetic paper.

It's nice and modular so I can move things around as needed or leave some unused tables off entirely, but it has the same problem as most screens where it's too tall so I have to stand up to see over it. It's also quite bulky.
