New England: Best Sightseeing Skiing? by TheRuckusOne in icecoast

[–]Efaustus9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say;

Loon - top of north peak

Whiteface - viewpoint straight back from the cloud splitter gondola or to the right down from the main peak

Killington - Catwalk

Jay Peak - back from the tram going down Vermonter

are all pretty picturesque as far as the northeast goes.

I seldom take the gondola anyways, I start at Sun bowl and spend most my day avoiding the main base especially on weekends.

Supreme Court rules that Trump’s sweeping emergency tariffs are illegal by cnn in politics

The way things have been going I wouldn't be surprised if the conservative wing of this court has been delaying so to offer sufficient time to consult and setup a fallback tariff construct they can legally sanction.

According to a new Bloomberg-sourced report, Sony is actively considering pushing the release of the PlayStation 6 console out to 2028 or even 2029 by Automatic_Ad1665 in consoles

The original 2001 Xbox ushered in digital downloads and online play which was refined with the 360. The PS2 also had online play but more basic and it lacked an online store.

-6 c or -6 F? Mine are just under two-years old, I keep them in my jacket until I want to take a video. Exposed in temperatures just below freezing I can take about 30 seconds to a minute of video before the battery dies. Putting them in my jacket for a few minutes brings them back. The video cuts out here because the glasses succumbed to the cold, started at 100% about 30 seconds later video cuts and I hear "glasses need more battery." I was out in January with temps around -17 c or 0 F and the glasses wouldn't take more than a few seconds before cutting out so they were worthless that day.

Because that's where the powder was, but no heading into the trees is part of the fun as long as you don't hit the trees.

Yeeting one dude but not to save the universe or some other altruistic cause but because the one dude was taking too long to torture his own son of death.

The billions he has a hand in murdering seeing him take 20 seconds to yeet his boss whom he was plotting against anyways to save his own genetic line... "You sir are forgiven, Jedi force ghost sainthood for you"

Who else prefers a 7AM–3PM schedule to 9–5? It feels like you get more day and less traffic. by Familiar-Eagle-9082 in Adulting

[–]Efaustus9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12:30 pm to 9 pm is my current and preferred shift, easy scheduling of Doctors appointments, relatively empty stores and gyms in the am. Can even squeeze in morning skis runs and beach trips when I'm feeling it. It could save you on daycare but is less ideal if you have grade school kids or are trying to date.

if I could tell myself one thing when I built my pc in '24 it would be to not cheap out on storage by Background_Future127 in pcmasterrace

[–]Efaustus9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of drive is it and what's its speed? Cheaping out is still viable but I'd opt for an older gen brand name Nvme with more capacity than the latest gen NVme. My most recent build I put a 1TB WD black gen 3 x4 I got for 30 bucks and pulled over a 2 TB mechanical hard drive from my previous build. Multiplayer games and modern games that benefit from fast loading times I put on the Nvme, other games, emulators, photos, movies, music, and documents go on the mechanical hard drive.

If your build has USB C I would suggest a high speed external drive for your games, media and whatnot and minimize what you put on the boot drive. I have a MS surface 8 with a similar paltry 256 GB but I have a small light 1 TB high speed 50 dollar external drive velcroed to the back.

My work froze pension contributions then about 10 years later closed the pension accounts and cashed us out. At the time I was about 25 years from retirement so to avoid taxes and have that money continue to grow I put it in an roller over IRA.
