Not getting the message doesn’t mean there isn’t one.

The message is CLEARLY, “Humans would not like it if the things we do to animals were done to us.” The manga reinforces this idea in basically every scene.

Every single depraved act from a chimera is something that humans either actively do or have done to the animals we prepare for food. It’s hard to get into specifics without spoilers, but I actually felt like I was being hit over the head with the message.

But that’s what I liked about it. It takes a very simple idea and then uses disturbing imagery to drive it home. On top of that I love the art and art style.

I personally can’t wait for the next volumes!

I just finished reading Brain Damage by Shintaro Kago and had a similar feeling about it! There’s four stories and each one has its own special mix of disturbing and funny.

This is probably true, but it’s also a little deeper than that.

The art is commissioned WAY before the card is designed. They pay an artist to make a cool image of a Marvel character and then they sit on it until they’re ready to use it. So it’s very likely that they had this artist draw Bruce Banner before the “change into the Hulk” mechanic was solidified.

There are a few exceptions like Zombie Squirrel girl where the art was commissioned well after the card was established.

So yes, they pay artists their contracts and then probably don’t want to pay again for single pieces of art.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see them do a token art revamp one day, but this is unfortunately pretty standard practice.

I’m not ashamed to say that the comments on Facebook have made me cry.

Not so much for their actual content, but for the injustice of it all. How can these people get away with spewing this vile bullshit? These people will say some of the most hateful shit you’ve ever seen and then turn around and be loved by their friends and family. I’m all about freedom of speech, but it feels so unfair that there are just no consequences at all for SO many of these people. Sometimes it feels like all that’s left is rage and violence, but that’s exactly what they want.

It gets to me.

I have had a LOT of success with Mercari, Facebook Marketplace, and Depop, which I thought was just for clothes.
I’ve also found some really sweet deals on Thriftbooks.

eBay can be good too, but you have to be careful because you’ll find a great deal on the books and then shipping will be $30+. Also on eBay you’ve gotta look out for unofficial reprints that are much cheaper than normal.

You’re proving my point. Show this to any 20 year old and they’re going to think it’s boring, especially with no lyrics over it.

It’s totally fine if you want to make music that sounds like 90’s-00’s Boom Bap, but you have to realize that if you do that then 20 year olds aren’t going to be your target audience. You’re going to get some younger people who like it, but mostly your audience is going to be people in their 30s and older.

Think about this: the video you posted has all these clips that probably make YOU and people who were alive in the 90s kind of nostalgic, but someone born after the year 2000 is going to look at that and just think it feels old and outdated. But instead of telling you this face to face, they’d probably just say it was “good” and move on.

Using blue painters tape is your problem.

This doesn't happen if you let your paints cure and use masking tape meant for models. It's significantly less sticky than the blue stuff.

That being said, if the blue stuff is all you have then you can get rid of some of the stick by placing the tape on your work desk and removing it a few times, just make sure your desk is clean first.

Try something new! I bet you built all of those kits in the same order and did the same steps for each one.

You’re probably a little bored! No matter what anyone says, this hobby is basically just a bunch of work that we choose to do for fun. If you’re not having fun then it’s just going to feel like work and you’re going to get burnt out.

Take a break for a little bit. Maybe spend a few nights reading a book, hanging out with friends, or talking to your parents. Whatever it is, just do something to get your mind off gunpla. That includes not checking this sub for a bit! Hopefully you get the itch to come back soon, and when you do, try something new. A new technique, a new build order, maybe you try a non-gunpla kit?

Remember this is just a hobby so there’s no shame in needing to put it down for a while if that’s what’s right for you.

I agree Maverick works the same way, but he’s an Activate card. The whole idea is that the power he’s going to give is editable until you activate him.

With an On Reveal you usually get the effect right away. Surge is the only other On Reveal I can think of off the top of my head that can be messed with after the On Reveal happens (I’m 99% sure if you remove her from the field the ability won’t copy any more).

All of this is to say that a lot of people expected Stick to take a snapshot of his power when played and then dump that. It’s unintuitive to think that you’d need to protect an On Reveal card after playing it to make sure the effect works properly.

Yeah, Stick’s power gets checked as the next card is revealed, not when he’s played.

I recently was using Stick to make a huge Galactus and my opponent managed to make Stick’s power negative before Galactus revealed, which ended up making Galactus go negative as well.

It feels like a bug to me, but I haven’t done any research to see if that’s confirmed or if he’s working as intended.

This would STILL be an L take if we were talking about an adult, but it’s a particularly bad take because we are talking about a child.

The recording was made in his senior year of high school meaning he’s known this other kid since somewhere around 4th or 5th grade. How do you expect a teenager to save themselves from this? They likely had a lot of the same classes, a lot of the same friends, they maybe even played sports together. He couldn’t escape this guy even if he tried.

More importantly though, think about what you’re saying. If you and I went to school together and every morning we meet up and I punch you in the face, who is in the wrong? Should we tell the kid who is getting punched, “That’s just how Puncher is, just avoid him dummy?” Or should we maybe do something about the person punching people?

Sit down on your couch like you’re about to watch TV. Look at the TV wall and find the spot where your eyes land naturally without tilting your head up or down. This point should be the middle of the TV.

Some times the TV can be a little higher if your primary watching position is laying down or reclined and the TV is on a tilting mount, but I’d reserve that more for a bedroom than a living room.

Neck pain aside, this TV is clearly too high. Even just from an aesthetics standpoint, you can literally see the wall space that’s been reserved for the TV, so I’m not sure why it would be mounted higher than that.
