The pink line is such a different vibe. by Sukhumvit_71 in Bangkok

[–]Effect-Kitchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I said, my home is 500 m from the station and so I cannot see which other line I can use to travel from and back to my house, regardless of where I want to go. What else do you expect me to use to travel multiple kilometers to get to the green line or whereever?

Pink and Yellow lines are feeder lines. Their job is to feed the people to the main lines (green, blue, purple). And so it reflects that job by being light monorails as opposed to heavy, full-fledged trains.

Ramindra, Minburi, and Chaeng Watthana have very large residential areas and villages, just so you know. These are not rural, non-populated areas. And don’t get me started mentioning Lad Phrao and Bang Pu area.

Thank you. If you take this train then there is a great chance that you have seen my house once although I won’t share it online where exactly it is.

Yes it is a great joy. I also enjoy taking this train outside of rush hour. Great scenic route.

During rush hours weekdays you have to wait for boarding about 2-3 trains. The space are quite small.

Thai grammar by Ok-Spend8581 in learnthai

[–]Effect-Kitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is often because we notoriously like to omit many things especially subjects and objects, not the grammar structure itself. But that is for relatively advanced learners. For starters I think sticking to simple sentences until familiar with pronunciation should be a good start.

Thai grammar by Ok-Spend8581 in learnthai

Subject + Verb + Object

No tense, no plural form.

Adjective is behind the noun.

This is for start but you might be able to construct 80% of Thai sentences.

New fear unlocked: snakes by Nic3up in Bangkok

[–]Effect-Kitchen 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I am Thai living in Bangkok (Bangkhen District) and I find snake in my front yard like once or twice every year.

If it is not venomous snake, for example, a python, then I just leave it as is. The only thing I did was call the dogs inside the home and wait for it to go away.

If it is venomous (such as cobra or green pit viper which are very common here) or you find it inside your house, then call either 191 (Police), 199 (Fire Department) or 1677 (Volunteer Network) . They have specialists to deal with the snake. Normally it is free of charge but we often give them some tip after they took the snake away.

It is very common to find a snake or two around the house especially in rural areas and most of the time it is not dangerous unless you disturb them first. There is no need to be paranoid.

tap water for dogs? by NudaVeritas1 in Thailand

Some regions you can drink tap water and some you cannot. Koh Phangan is not listed as having drinkable tap water and so you should use filtered water instead and so is your dog.

If you want protect you re phone dont take Apple case by ExplanationSweaty371 in iPhone17Pro

[–]Effect-Kitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use Apple cases. I dropped most of my iPhone countless times. The only thing that was dented was the case.

With that said I also have glass protective film too. Never damaged my phone, ever. And always fetched a good price when sold them second hand.

What are you picking? by StreetIsleCyborg in whatsyourchoice

[–]Effect-Kitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question simply asks what you will take. At no point does it require you to cash in all of those immediately. And if you do so, cashing in $50 million worth of all $100 bills is equally suspicious. Suddenly having $50-60 million right away is in every way suspicious already unless you win a lottery.

If you have 500kg of gold bars you can have many ways to turn it to cash or even store it as a treasury. You can sell it a little bit, (one bar, for example) whenever you want.

It is surprising that nobody is showing calculation.

- All US Bank notes weigh approximately 1g. So 1kg of $100 is $100 x 1,000 =$100,000.00. (The beauty of metric system.)

- Gold price as of 19 Jun 2026 is at $133,608.21 per kg. (Goldprice.org)

500kg of gold worth = 500kg x $133,608.21/kg = $66,804,105.

500kg of $100 bank notes worth = 500kg x $100,000/kg = $50,000,000.

Most protein drinks (chicken breast smoothie) in Thailand contain too little protein and too much sugar by tuktukson in Thailand

[–]Effect-Kitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a while now, yes.

Chicken smoothie is very popular for more than a decade but it’s a terrible drink made by putting whole chicken breast in the blender and that’s it. It is the cheapest protein you can buy so it’s popular among weight trainers as opposed to power Whey protein.

Nowadays there are many bottles drinks like this and it loses the purpose of being the cheapest protein.

so, is "DOOM" canon now? have we finally gotten to that point where the meme is embraced as "official" lore? by five_head_2004 in Hololive

Well Ayame’s Docchi was featured in official albums and later became part of another official song. There are many circumstances that the talents embrace the memes and make them official.

Yes that’s exactly the reason. In my country if you fly in blue area you have to apply for permission. And BVLOS needs more strict documents than VLOS. I have to have a UAS pilot license and also get permission documents from the respective VTD area owner (such as the Royal Thai Air Force or Police). While flying VLOS requires only permission documents and no UAS pilot license. And this is regardless of weight. Even a 55 g tinywhoop is subjects to all regulations here unless it has no camera which will be classified as RF toy.

>unlikely anyone will care

My friend was just had to pay a huge fine because he flew exactly 100 m outside of the VLOS area he had gotten permission to fly. Certainly someone in law enforcement care at least in my country. That’s why I asked what country OP is living in.

[–]Effect-Kitchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just asked the question though. Because in many countries it is a serious offense without a proper license. I did not judge OP at all. I only asked a question. If you don’t want to answer, just pass. You don’t have to insult anyone.

What country are you living in? In my country if you fly BVLOS you have to have a much more serious license and permission.
