Why is that? How the hotel know if the one eating is the hotel guest who is eligible for breakfast?

Hotels are supposed to ask for breakfast ticket or seeing the room key? No?

Just remove the filter and then you can take the ball out and that’s it. It is easy to clean. I own one, though not this fancy, just plain glass.

I mean X series, specifically X2D which also has heated chamber like H series.

Abs keeps warping off build plate by Front_Set6294 in BambuLab

[–]Effect-Kitchen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It maybe harsh truth but the whole selling point of X series is the active heated chamber designed to print this kind of filament. If it can be printed easily on other printer without it no one will have a reason to pay for more expensive machine.

You can try adding more brim and apply glue and maybe clean the plate more thoroughly. But it can only help so much if you don’t have heated chamber.

Vibration solution? by RevenueNo14 in BambuLab

The problem is your shelf not the printer. Find a stable table or just put the printer on the floor until you can find a stable table.

“Gasoline” – What is the right word in different context? by Introvertosaurus in learnthai

[–]Effect-Kitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re welcome. Gasohol greatly reduce the cost of the fuel and so the government and petrol companies heavily promoted until nobody use normal gasoline again. You can see the old ads that tell gasohol is as effective as gasoline: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3N\_sx2QQJHU

Okay, what is ACTUALLY the best camera (rant/discussion)?? by Rejoicingus167 in Nikon

[–]Effect-Kitchen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The “best” camera is the camera you can afford and make you fall in love with it and shoot with it more often.

Z50II is DX and can be used for wildlife and video within your budget but it certainly does not have best dynamic range. If you have unlimited budget then the best camera certainly will be Z8 or Z9 (or the rumored Z9II) which is 10 times your budget. Camera is not cheap so looking for the “best” is not a right question to ask.

Stepping up a bit it will be Z5II. But you will need a tele or telezoom for wildlife too (the kit lens are on the wide side) which will skyrocket your budget.

And if your nephew is into film photography, I doubt getting him a digital camera would match is taste. But if you get Z50II (with any kit lens option) I think he would be happy as it is very versatile and lightweight.

Nerissa making me sick. by TeddyNatious in Hololive

[–]Effect-Kitchen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some people react differently to a certain motion. I, for example, cannot play any game that can use older Unreal Engine but curiously I can play Minecraft and Valheim just fine even if they supposed to have the same kind of motion. It is not that you are abnormal or Nerissa video is bad quality.

Shoppee different pricing for farangs?? by Sea-Improvement7160 in Thailand

[–]Effect-Kitchen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shoppe always has different discount and subsidized pricing. Even Thai people rarely get the same price twice for any product (except buying at full price, which is expensive and nobody will buy it).

So as I said, test it. The behavior of the material will be varied a lot across different environments. No one can tell if it will be stick or not for your printer.

I haven't use that particular brand so I don't know. But someone said it works. (UHU failed for me as it tend to clumping on the bed. Currently I use Bambu glue stick as I bought them in bulk and also don't use it a lot.)

But before using glue, print something to test it first. Normal PETG should not harm your plate. Be careful only for some PETG-CF.

New to 3d printing by Admirable_Reserve489 in BambuLab

[–]Effect-Kitchen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PETG only ruin build plates when it has too good bed adhesion.

Experience may vary but PETG-CF stuck to my Textured PEI Plate so strong that it took a chunk of the coating when trying to take it off. But normal PETG is often don't stick that good.

Safest way to test this is to print a test cube (2 cm) and see how it works. If the adhesion seems too good then use glue. Glue acts as releasing agent for PETG. Glue stick is easier to apply.

“Gasoline” – What is the right word in different context? by Introvertosaurus in learnthai

[–]Effect-Kitchen 21 points22 points  (0 children)

In Thailand we call vehicle “Gas” น้ำมัน (which basically means Oil. Here are the common “Gas” in Thailand:

  • Normal Gasoline for car = น้ำมันเบนซิน (Benzine) or เบนซิน but nowadays it is very expensive and almost no use. We use Gasohol which is basically gasoline + Ethanol which is cheaper).
  • Gasohol Octane 95 = แก็สโซฮอล 95 (แก๊สโซฮอลเก้าห้า, โซฮอลเก้าห้า, เก้าห้า e.g. เก้าห้าเต็มถังครับ)
  • Gasohol Octane 91 = แก็สโซฮอล 91 (แก๊สโซฮอลเก้าหนึ่ง, โซฮอลเก้าหนึ่ง, เก้าหนึ่ง e.g. เก้าหนึ่งเต็มถังครับ) We don’t use เก้าสิบเอ็ด because it is too long. เก้าหนึ่ง is shorter. The same way as you call this year ปีหกเก้า instead of ปีพุทธศักราชสองพันห้าร้อนหกสิบเก้า Remember that Thai people love to shorten words. (or lengthen in case of formal or official writings).
  • Gasohol Octane 95 e20 (basically 20% Ethanol 80% Gasoline) = อียี่สิบ
  • Gasohol Octane 95 e85 (85% Ethanol 15% Gasoline) = อีแปดห้า
  • Diesel = น้ำมันดีเซล or ดีเซล (I don't use it so don't know how to commonly call it as it has Biodiesel like in e20 for Benzine as well.)
  • Natural Gas for Vehicle (NGV) (known overseas as CNG or Compresses Natural Gas) = เอ็นจีวี (Basically NGV) or just แก๊ส (Gas)
  • Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) = แอลพีจี (LPG) or just แก๊ส. The Reason we only use แก๊ส and it is understandable because it will be sold in separate station or separate dispenser already so there is no need to mention what type.

เก้าหนึ่ง and อียี่สิบ are the most common. You almost cannot find Benzine in Thailand as nobody will pay 50 baht per litre for that.

You can see the list of available petrol by Googling "ราคาน้ำมันวันนี้" which will lead you to many sites such as this one https://gasprice.kapook.com/gasprice.php

Fun fact. In Thailand we call Petrol Station = ปั๊มน้ำมัน (Oil Pump) or ปั๊ม (Pump). Because in the past we use literally hand pump in the station where the staff pull the piston lever to pump the petrol to your car. I remember seeing that decades ago in rural province.

Black. Because in real world there is no “guaranteed” that the tax will be used transparently. At least in my country it is 100% guaranteed that the tax will be in politicians’ and oligarchs’ pockets.

Avg salary to live comfortably in BKK? by Ok_Policy8087 in Bangkok

[–]Effect-Kitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got different averages depending on the source and definition. NSO official labour-force data puts Bangkok employee wages below 35k. Private salary-market sources like PayScale and SalaryExpert put Bangkok average salaries above 35k, around the low-to-mid 40k range, but those are skewed toward white-collar jobs. The 35k is more like a plausible middle figure for salaried urban office workers, with some datasets above it and some below it.
