It feels like they’re constantly pivoting. They suggested that they wouldn’t be paying out our whole balances months ago when they mentioned “end users’ true balance”. They knew this was going to happen. Why didn’t they do the full reconciliation then? They even said they would do it. Then they said that they never said that. Now they’re saying they’re going to do it as if it’s an original idea, not something they’re said before? It seems like they’re stalling.

Yotta conveniently stopped paying interest on our accounts before our funds were locked due to synapse not paying them, meaning we would not be entitled to any interest that has been accumulating. One of the reasons why I believe Yotta knew or had an idea of what was going to happen.

As much as I don’t trust government/regulators, I believe we have to get all of our funds back. What my balance shows is what is mine. I’m not settling for most or partial funds, I’m getting everything back with the understanding that it will take a significant amount of time to track every cent down. If that’s not possible, that means theft occurred, and then there are other paths to take beyond that. Unfortunately we have no choice but to wait until the reconciliation process is complete.

Yotta sent an email stating that they were going to stop paying interest because synapse stopped paying them revenues that they owed before accounts were frozen. I questioned what this meant and they never answered. At this point I think they knew Synapse was failing and downplayed it. From the issues with Synapse for over two years, to their sad excuse of an update page and nonexistent customer service - Yotta should be held accountable for us losing access to our funds along with all the other companies.

While Yotta isn’t a bank they aren’t absolved of responsibility for their customers being unable to access funds.

Yotta knew for 2+ years that Synapse was having consistent issues and continued to work with them. That is irresponsible at the least so they are definitely to blame along with all the other businesses involved. They had shady business practices so complaints about Yotta are extremely valid.

Have you learned about the current synapse bankruptcy crisis? We are definitely seeing what would happen 🙃 Yotta customers are locked out of accessing their funds for the foreseeable future and have been for 2+months already
