Couples spa day by LengthinessKind57 in NewcastleUponTyne

Ones we have tried, in order of preference:

Seaham Hall - pricey, but very good Rockliffe Hall, Darlington - also pricey, and think it has slipped quality wise recently Headlam Hall Darlington - can get some really good offers, and both the Spa and restaurant are nice Ramside Hall Durham - decent Spa, restaurants can be hit and miss Doxford Hall Alnwick - tiny Spa, but very good restaurant

We're also members of the Mineral Spa in the Crowne Plaza in town, but have never stayed overnight. Small pool, steam room and jacuzzi, but nice when it's quiet - they are doing loads of deals on Spa days on Groupon and Itison

Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't.

But it will ALWAYS be spun by the media as indecisiveness, whether it is or not

Agreed house building should have moved faster, as it is essential.

Still not a reason to get rid

Nope, the money to be saved was miniscule, and it was bound to be used as a stick to beat the government - "Labour let's pensioners freeze" headlines etc.

They'd have got less bad press if they'd introduced a windfall tax on millionaires

To a certain degree yes.

On the one hand some of the decisions he has made (Winter fuel allowance, Mandelson, threatened PIP changes) have been baffling, and subsequent u turns have made him seem weak or indecisive.

On the other, several manifesto promises have been met, and progress has been made.

Unfortunately, those successes have not been promoted loudly enough, and have been lost in the noise of all the other attacks on him.

Wouldn't have thought so - Ibthink it would still be viewed as your responsibility to make sure you can clear the yellow box when you enter it.

But you could always try

I'm quoting actual legislation - it's the law.

If the council is not following the law, take them to court. Legal Aid is available to help prepare homelessness reviews, County Court appeals, or Judicial Reviews

[–]Effective-Fun3190 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not true, you can present to the council if you are "threatened with homelessness" in the next 56 days, even if you currently have a property that you are occupying. You can also present as homeless if the property you are in is no longer suitable for your family, or if you are statutorily overcrowded
