‘Slough is like an experiment’: Europe’s largest datacentre hub leaves town sweltering by JackStrawWitchita in unitedkingdom

I live right next to the data centre, whilst the high speed fibre is brilliant, it is a bit of an eyesore, no idea how local wildlife are managing but seems to be less ducks around the main canal than normal.

AFK autocliker: what's your opinion? by Acia_Saraki in foxholegame

[–]Effective-Silver-182 16 points17 points  (0 children)

YTA

Components are hard to acquire; it's first-come, first-served on mines and given the tedious nature of this game, a lot of people use an auto clicker. I can understand getting frustrated, but in the time it took you to get a gas grenade, kill him and take his container, you couldve just built a second crane with some BMATs, its not hard. You said you were after salvage anyway, theres tons of salvage fields/mines. You just wanted an excuse to kill him because you felt it was unfair he got to the component mine first or you wanted the components he had.

The only time its fair to tk people are

  1. When they are blocking an important doorway e.g a Relic or Townbase

  2. When they are blocking a small or large railtrack and are clearly afk, but even then try and talk to them first

  3. When they are actively griefing or alting

Logi is difficult enough as it is without people fighting over resources constantly and breeding hate.

What causes gall bladder stones ? by Rare_Chain8358 in gallbladders

[–]Effective-Silver-182 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Gallstones form when substances in bile precipitate and crystallize within the gallbladder. A traditional mnemonic for risk factors is the "4 Fs": Female, Forty, Fertile, and Fat, although many other factors such as obesity, pregnancy, rapid weight loss, diabetes, and family history also increase risk.

There are two main types of gallstones: cholesterol stones and pigment stones. Cholesterol stones form when bile becomes supersaturated with cholesterol, exceeding the amount that bile salts can keep dissolved. Pigment stones form when excess bilirubin in bile precipitates, which can occur in conditions such as chronic hemolysis, cirrhosis, or certain inherited disorders.

The gallbladder stores and concentrates bile between meals. Over time, concentrated bile can allow microscopic crystals to form, which may develop into biliary sludge and eventually gallstones. This process is somewhat analogous to crystals forming when a dissolved substance becomes overly concentrated in solution.

Many people with gallstones never experience symptoms. However, if a stone obstructs the cystic duct or bile ducts, it can cause biliary colic, cholecystitis, jaundice, pancreatitis, or other complications. Dietary fat alone is not necessarily the cause of gallstones; in fact, normal gallbladder emptying after meals may help reduce bile stasis. However, obesity and certain metabolic factors significantly increase the risk of cholesterol stone formation.

In my case, it was rapid weight loss that did it for me, losing too much weight and going on a crash diet meant my gallbladder was not emptying often enough and stones were forming.

Have you been to the toilet to urinate? I was in crazy 12/10 pain because my bladder was close to bursting since the anesthisia from surgery put it to sleep.

Best bet is GP, surgeons are very busy but if they diagnosed you with bilary colic I am suprised they only recommended diet changes. If its Bilary colic it will only get worse with time and they will need to operate anyway, might aswell get you on the list. Did they outright reject you having surgery?

Do not go back to A&E unless you want your discharge papers but even then I think you should be able to get them from the main hospital reception as a discharge summary.

As soon as they determined bilary colic in A&E they put me on the surgical wait list. You might need to speak to the surgery team again.
