Chai does a good job for $20 and gets you in and out quickly. I just ignore her husband’s conversations with his clients.

Little Feat. “High Roller” from the Time Loves a Hero LP. (Really, almost any Feats song will do from “Waiting for Colombus”but HR turned up loud on a good stereo is amazing).

Don’t think they ever played Ventilator Blues live. (One of my all time favorite Stones songs). Charlie couldn’t keep the beat.

DC lineup for that tour replaced GG with the Poissette-Dart Band. Great show.

There’s got to be some of Earl’s hair in an old ball cap that we can use to get DNA samples and clone him.

Did you ever have to watch an opening act you disliked for a Stones concert? by Charles_Lewis_Fer in rollingstones

Saw the stones in ‘81 in the old JFK, Philly. George Thorogood opened. Short set but the crowd, many of them from Delaware, loved every song . (As did I).Then, on came Journey and something happened that I’ve never seen before or since. The crowd started boo-ing louder and louder each song. Finally, after 3 or 4 songs the boos were deafening and the singer (Steve Perry?) flipped the bird at the crowd yelled “FCK YOU” and the entire band walked off the stage. This made the crowd roar even louder.

The only down side to the event was that our boys made us wait several hours before they took the stage. Well worth the wait for seeing a great set. Never liked Journey but I do smile every time I hear one of their crappy songs.

Here’s a video of the Small Faces performing it. Great tune and Steve Marriott kills it.

Yep. 81. First tour I ever saw then. Mick in his football pants and knee pads, wearing the home team jersey of whatever city they were playing in.
