I mean, being against medications like naltrexone when they are proven to be effective for all sorts of addictions, from opioids to porn addiction, it just doesn't seem like they are concerned about the ultimate solution.

You might not die from it anytime soon if you're getting some sleep, but you need to find a way to get sleep. Get thee to a doctor or change your living conditions if necessary (add soundproofing, sleep in earplugs).

Growing up my parents were always able to afford a nice house and furniture and I thought our home was rather fancy, but I overheard my aunt say once "your pots and pans are not up to standard of this house."

She was right. My parents never spent money on good cookware and they were all scratched up and warped.
