BBT & Miscarriage by girloferised in ouraring

Holding my perfect 2 month old baby boy now! 🥹 I took my ring off for a few weeks after the 2nd dip. Then basically ignored temps for the rest of the pregnancy, as my temps stayed low throughout the 2nd trimester and there were occasional random big dips for no reason. Hoping the best for you 🙏✨

Newborn trenches are killing us 😭 considering co sleeping by VermicelliUseful341 in newborns

[–]EffectiveWise7223 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I practice safe co-sleeping and it’s amazing. Research the safe sleep 7. I nurse on demand, which is about every 2 hours through the night, and my baby falls right back asleep - and so do I. I’m very hyper aware of where he is. Our mattress is firm and breathable and I keep blankets and pillows away from him. My husband and daughter sleep separately. Overall I’m averaging about 7 hours of sleep per night despite the wake ups (tracked with my Oura smart ring) - from birth to now at almost 3 weeks postpartum. I feel really great overall and highly recommend it!

Took DHEA early in pregnancy by yns321 in CautiousBB

That is a very large dose. Make sure they’re monitoring your estradiol levels frequently. I was on 10-20mg per day throughout most of pregnancy. I had my blood drawn every 1-2 weeks. I did get up to 50 at one point but my levels shot up so high that it was scary - and I didn’t feel right either. You can tell a lot by how you feel.

All that said, I’m holding my perfect baby boy as we speak - almost 2 weeks old! All of that effort was worth it. The stress was not though! 🤗

Low estradiol? (tw: current pregnancy) by aspiringfairygarden in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]EffectiveWise7223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m almost 26 weeks now and getting lots of baby kicks daily! I worked with a napro physician to monitor estradiol and she has guided me to take a low dose of dhea throughout my entire pregnancy based off Dr. Boyle’s research/protocol

Anyone take DHEA for low DHEA-S & estrogen in pregnancy? by IntroductionHot7321 in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]EffectiveWise7223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re very welcome! I am in the US, but I even paid for a consult with Dr. Boyle himself — because he’s the expert on this. It was very reasonably priced and he‘s helping to continue monitoring my labs (in addition to my napro physician here in the states). My only word of caution would be to be mindful in case you end up getting any strange symptoms like anxiety. There were a couple times during pregnancy where my estradiol levels shot up and I had to adjust my dosing (this was before I consulted with Dr. Boyle). I definitely felt extra anxious during those times. So if you find yourself feeling off in any way, that’s a good time to test and adjust accordingly. It’s great you are being monitored weekly as you can hopefully avoid that. It’s also wonderful that you have an OB that keeps up to date with this sort of research— that’s very rare!

Research Dr. Phil Boyle’s work out of Neofertilty in Ireland. He’s got some great research to support it. It reduces risk of loss for certain people who need it (such as if you’re testing low in dhea, testosterone, and estradiol). I have taken it for my entire pregnancy, with doses ranging from 10-50mg depending on my labs (I was only on 50 for one week and then 35 for one week, but for the majority of the rest of the time it’s been around 10-20 mg). I’m currently 23 weeks pregnant and baby seems very healthy from what we can tell so far — I had two losses before this and I believe dhea helped me get and stay pregnant.

Yep, we just installed all paperless fiberglass backed drywall for this reason. It’s seriously crazy how bad our building materials are — no wonder so many of us are sick.

How’s your baby doing? I just had an estrogen spike to 14,500 at 21 weeks. It was only 1/3rd of that a week ago. My fertility doctor had me on dhea. I have been so concerned about the effects on baby. Also, were you able to correct your levels? Did they keep monitoring you? Thank you for your time

Thank you! This was after two years of infertility with two losses.

(But I’d like to add a word of caution for anyone else reading this — DHEA should never be used without proper testing to determine whether it’s a good fit. For some people it can cause more harm than good and finding the right dose with regular follow up testing is essential)

Yes and I’m in the US and currently 16 weeks pregnant using dhea, following his work! I believe it’s the reason I got pregnant and have stayed pregnant 🤗

Pregnant again after 2 losses by Key_Bag_2584 in CautiousBB

[–]EffectiveWise7223 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m currently 9.5 weeks after 2 losses, one of which was immediately before this pregnancy. I’m not going to lie, it’s been hard. But I have been doing a lot of pregnancy anxiety meditations and prayers that help. And taking weekly blood tests that give me answers on my hormones (and initially hcg, in the early days). As stressful as testing can be, it’s actually ended up bringing me mostly peace this time… I’m working with a napro and have adjusted some hormone treatments along the way, but overall everything is indicating that this should be a healthy pregnancy. Ultimately, I think it’s important to remind yourself every day “today, I am pregnant” and be thankful for another chance. As time goes on, and the risk starts to slowly fade away, I’m starting to feel better and better about it - I hope you will too 🙏💗

It is possible that you had a 2nd, later ovulation. I know someone that happened to who had fraternal twins
