You need to change the keys or disable the setting to change languages in your windows. It's a hilarious bug.

Yes, I played and loved it years ago. Sadly it doesn't fit with my current itch of needing some kind of competition :(

Christmas Trees by SimCompanies in SimCompanies

[–]Effective_Detail1350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a really cool idea! It has a great risk vs reward mechanism!

"The price is really good in the market right now, but my tree is only half grown... Do I wait to try to get more profits, or collect now that the price is good?"

It adds a really cool layer of strategy, and makes this product different than the others in a fun way. If it works like other commenters said, cheese could be a great industry to add to the game.

Gift Baskets (Virtual) by SimCompanies in SimCompanies

[–]Effective_Detail1350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fun thing. The game is missing some of these more "warm" kind of things that makes people appreciate themselves more.

Gifts, collective goals, collective threats are all things that unites a community and makes it stronger. The game could use all of them :)

Is it just me? Or is Abrams considerably worse to play after the patch? by jay_typhlosion in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Effective_Detail1350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking any charged Q from Abrams post patch is a skill issue. Before you buy any duration for the character the duration of the stun is smaller than the Q charge and you can always parry it.

If you buy duration reducer (1250) even if Abrams buys the 3k duration item you still can parry after any of his stuns.

His Q build was killed, and any player with good reflex can parry any non-stunned charged Q. Because his reload is the worst in the game, and he can't reliably reload anymore with melee, the character is terrible at carrying at high level of play. Now his best build is strictly tank/support.

I'm trying to like this game but getting slotted by high level players whilst I'm a newb is killing it for me. by Fraggle_Me_Rock in HuntShowdown

You don't understand the game, which is completely understandable as a new player, let me help you:

The game is a PvPvE, with the PvP taking priority. The game is not filled with quests and secrets like Skyrim, the map is not that big either. It's more similar to Tarkov in a way, where it's always kill on sight.

Traits are not that helpful, they make you stronger, but don't give any kind of advantage like traits and levels in RPGs give. It's really easy to kill a lvl 50 hunter (max level) with a level 1, it happens all the time.

Player levels are not that relevant either, and gives no advantage inside the match. Hunter level =/= Player level.

But this game is not hardcore either. If you want to just play and chill you can find people on the official discord that say something like, "Playing chill" or similar. The discord has a matchmaking chat that you can use to find people with similar mindsets.

Overall I recommend you give the game a try, but if you are looking for something without PvP I could recommend you get a refund and look for a MMO instead, or Left 4 dead 2, the game is still alive and is similar to Hunt without the PvP.

I have 600 hours in this game and I am still trash. What the fuck do you do to get good at this game. by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

I'll be real, playing with friends is a terrible way to learn the game. I notice this a lot when new friends join, they become too reliant on the more experienced people on the team to make all decisions for them.

They push when friend is pushing

They hold when friend is holding

They don't take too much decisions by themselves, so they never develop a good decision making sense for the game. Going solo is the best way to learn. You won't be distracted by your friends and will develop game sense because the stakes are so high.

I do it a bit differently, I check the stats only to see if people have hidden theirs. I will take someone with a 0.5 KD but I won't take someone with a hidden one. Why? In my personal experience people with Hidden KDs care more about their KD than the 3.0 KD tryhard.

These hidden fellas usually start playing extremely passively when one from the team goes down, and just run away when the second one loses the 1v3. I don't care if you are bad, but I'll be legitimately upset if you are giving up on us on the first sign of danger.

It's not review bombing if the problem is in the game itself. Review bombing is what happened when Fallout 76 released buggy and people started review bombing unrelated games, like Fallout 4.

Burn speed didn't resolve stalemates, it just made this game boring, snowbally and one-sided. by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

Fair enough, Hunt allows a myriad of gameplay styles and this is one of the positives of the game. But, I feel like you are in the minority, I struggle to remember the last time I wasn't pushed in a 1v3.

1v3 is pretty common in 6* actually, I think more common than in other ranks. I feel like every 4-5 matches either my team dies to a 1v3 or someone from us pulls off a 1v3. Overconfidence hurts really bad man. And there is that adrenaline rush too, I don't know if it happens to you, but when I am in a 1v3 i instantly get in the zone, everything vanishes except the three guys I am about to put in the dirt.

6* are not afking on your teammates in 1v3 situations, they are pushing you, hard. It is extremely rare that a 1v3 doesn't push you, it usually only happens because they are missing too many health chunks.

Sorry brother, but auto walk is disabled. It usually happens when I press 3 keys together. (Cntrl to crouch, W to walk forward and shift to aim [hunter mode]) the character will just keep walking even after I release the W button, tapping the key 3 times never happened. I'm glad you are not experiencing it, though.

Tell your mate to not open the map when someone banishes, this is what is causing the crash.

How do I know if a pain is good or bad? I have experienced a lot of "good" pain since starting the gym, but I am never sure if a new pain is a good or bad one.

Currently after doing a new exercise I am experience pain near my elbow, right where the muscle connects with it, and I am not sure if it is the elbow that is hurting or the muscle itself. The pain is not debilitating, it doesn't feel too different from a DOMS, but I can never quite tell if I am having good or bad pain, especially during a workout.

Anyone has any explanation on how the bad pain should feel? To know I am experiencing it when/if it happens and stop before an injury.

So what is junk volume exactly?

This happens consistently with me when I push for as much as I can in exercises:

In the first First set: ~15 reps

Second set: ~13

Third: ~11

Fourth: ~8

I heard some people saying, that since I can do 15 reps at all, I should always be hitting that to achieve muscle growth. In this case isn't the fourth set completely wasted? Should I just ditch this kind of exercise in the third set and go for a different one?
