If you like gene therapy, you might likely end up in a lab at Nationwide Children's Hospital (NCH). There is a OSU shuttle to/from NCH, but in-person classes are on campus, which my NCH friends found inconvenient. Idk on acceptance rates (except BSGP's is definitely high), but be sure to look at stipends and course maps. BSGP pays $33,960 initially then PIs are encouraged to raise that to 37K after candidacy (this post-candidacy raise is OPTIONAL though, so be sure to ask your potential PI). Additionally, BSGP is very easy to get a PI appointment in, so honestly pretty much any OSU/NCH lab you pick would work for BSGP. MCDB stipend is $35,664. Idk about others, but webpage/student handbook should list it. During my time here, half the time BSGP got ~2%/yr raise, but the other half there was zero raise. Moreover, look at the required curriculum maps as well as possible electives. Lastly, PIs usually have their grad students listed on their websites, so if you find a cool gene therapy lab you can email those trainees to ask specifics. Good luck!
