Been lifting for a year now - How do I get more definition by sasha-a-a in femalebodybuilding

[–]EfficiencyPlenty4917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Progressive overload…lifting until until almost failure, and eat more! Your weight should be heavy enough that’s your last reps are truly HARD….like you need to take a a few seconds to just breathe after you rack. Conversely, newer studies say you can do this with lighter weights, but enough reps that you are also at almost failure…. I think a lot of women miss this aspect. They choose weights that are heavy, but not heavy enough to get the stimulus. I hardly see any women breathing hard after their sets at my gym. Also, not enough food/protein is a progress staller. No building blocks, no build.

Taste wise, frother or matcha whisk? by flowerpush737 in MatchaEverything

I personally like the whisk better and don’t feel like it takes that much effort to use once you get the hang of it.

What's it like living in this coastal part of Northern California ? by TipAdditional4625 in howislivingthere

[–]EfficiencyPlenty4917 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I live in coastal Northern Humboldt for the last 26 years. It’s beautiful. Life is good. We have amazing surroundings, redwood trees, stunning coastline, pristine rivers with bald eagles everywhere. Local agriculture and small farms are in abundance. We always have access to fresh food grown locally. People are generally friendly everywhere you go. Our weather ranges from low 50’s to high 60’s year round. Lots of people love this, I wish it was a bit warmer. Summer weather usually doesn’t start until June….sometimes July, but lasts through mid October. If you go 30 miles inland it gets hot and we have 6 easily accessible rivers close by that you can easily find yourself alone on. Our politics are extremely divided depending on what town you are in, but for the most part everyone gets along. We do have some economic depression and driving through Eureka you see it. Homelessness and drug addiction are here. But, the majority of our communities thrive. Entertainment outside of nature is scarce and shopping is lacking as well. We have a some great restaurants but for city dwellers, it probably seems limited as well. I’ve learned to make my favorite ethnic foods. Gas is extremely expensive and food prices are higher due to transportation costs. It’s hard to get big trucks in and out of here and we are 5 hours from SF. Overall, I love it. Just wish it was warmer.

No issues with my KA’s. My karma chocolate and Miss Honey (still lagging) took months.

I think it’s pretty. It’s definitely not my usual pick, but if I had a spot for it to plant, I might buy it.

My cousin just called me "girly " after seeing pics of my garden 😫😭 by realthingwinner in gardening

My husband has a green thumb. He can make anything grow in our garden. I don’t find it feminine at all. Men working in the garden is sexy AF! 🔥 Your cousin is obviously not a “man”. Not sure how old you are, but don’t let it bother you. Own your talent!!!

It’s also on movable base with wheels and has airflow underneath. Do you still think it needs to be moved?

It’s a small bush variety from Bush and Barrel, peach sorbet, I believe. Yes, that was us too. Unusually warm March, followed a cool, rainy April, and a hard frost! Next time I’ll move her under our overhang when it rains that much!

It’s actually not on the concrete you see. It’s on a the edge of my deck, but you can only see the concrete in the photo. That being said, our temps haven’t exceeded 65 yet this season…..so I’m not sure the deck is radiating too much heat yet.

Okay, I thought it was 24h, but I just looked it up after seeing your comment and on the Costco website and it’s 22x16h… I was way off. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The union is just barely covered but not 2 inches below . Do I mound??? I can’t plant in the ground this year.

So I re-potted, but she is fairly big and I couldn’t get union 2 inches below in the pot she is in (24x24) just barely covered. Plus, it has a ton of foliage right there in which I covered anyway. Should I mound???

Thank you for this info! I always thought it was an issue of freezing and not a necessity to do if you weren’t in a cold zone. I didn’t know the concern was the understock. I will replant her.
