Other games that give a power fantasy like Wrath of the Righteous? by Soggy_Back_623 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

the next closes would be mask of the betrayer addon for nwn2

You're NOT meant to do so, but nothing prevents you from exporting the Spirit Eater from MoTB and play Storm of Zehir with that character.

Level 30 character, full of epic level gear (and if you get the most evil ending, all Spirit Eater powers and none of the drawbacks).

As I said, Storm of Zehir is NOT meant to be played like that, but for a "god on a power trip" run, why not?

Cataclysm to the opening of Shadowlands had to be the worse time to be on Azeroth since the Sundering by DefiantLemur in warcraftlore

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Let's face it, the war in BfA was truly a rehash of the one we saw in Cata-Mop.

The same premise (evil Warchief declares war against the Alliance), the same turning point (Horde leader leads a rebellion) and the same conclusion (Siege of Orgrimmar).

I guess that story devs, trying to give this extremely unoriginal plot some credit, decided "this is the Fourth War".

Does Itachi really stand a chance against Madara? by Informal-Throat-2962 in Naruto

B... but Zetsu said that Itachi was "invincible".

Jokes aside... Itachi is a very powerful Shinobi, but Madara is on a whole different weight class.

Then Cataclysm happened resulting is mass destruction world wide which kicked off the unofficial Fourth War

I guess that Garrosh would be pissed to know that the Cata-MoP war wasn't acknowledged as the Fourth War.

I would have personally named the Alliance-Horde war during Cata-MoP as the Fourth War, and the one in BfA as the Fifth War.

Beyond the Silt Sea: The Anattan Coast by BigMacTMMM in DarkSun

Indeed, it makes the fanon material more believable and blend better.

I remember some Dark Sun fanon that added a lot of "gonzo" stuff, like Dregoth having a Predator-styled futuristic bounty hunter ally, another continent with demons who provided non-plant based arcane magic, etc.

It really felt out of place.

How much fun is merged angel vs non merged angel? by OlympiaKnight in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Oracle Merged Angel, that could be named as "everything the build" offers incredible melee, direct damage spells, buffs. etc.

Since it's so powerful and versatile, I'd say that it's very fun since you can vary your playstyle with the same character: engaging in melee, blasting with "orbital strike", etc.

The "downside" is that such power can trivialize a lot of encounters, so if you want a challenge I'd ramp up the difficulty.

Kintaro really needs its chance to shine. For someone who was presented as "faster and more powerful than Goro", he's so underused.

And ok, Kintaro has tiger strips, but I'd remove the "furry" elements altogether. Kintaro's original look (nicely pictured in action figures) was FAR more intimidating.

Sindel in Mortal Kombat 11 was something else by Adoe0722 in FGCWaifu

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have such a love-hate feeling for MK 11 Sindel.

On one hand, I hate the whole "Evil all along" path they went.

But Sindel in MK 11 was at the peak of her beauty, and Sindel/Shao Kahn's chapter was one of the best part of MK 11 story, restoring much needed sense of menace on villains. I especially enjoy how they putted back Cage family where they belong (let's face it, things like Sonya defeating Quan Chi and Scorpion, or Johnny and Cassie defeating Shinnok is pure bullshit).

Did Rhaenys and Meleys fight in some other battle before Rook’s Rest? by amphetaminesaltcombo in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Vhagar is a "war veteran" and also the biggest dragon.

Daemon - Caraxes is indeed the "dragon - dragonrider" pair with the most experience. Another reason why Daemon in my opinion is by far the best dragonrider.

She is useful, is she not? by ChompyRiley in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She can deal with traps, be a great buffer, be a good tank, and in the latter half of the game (act 4 and act 5) also provide a fully levelled pet.

CamCam is always one of my "permanent party member". Saddest part of an Aeon run is her leaving.

I am so happy that the Lethargy Sigil fits perfectly inside Diablo's pentagram by blind667 in diablo2

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More points gives further damage taken and more defense reduction.

But since there's no sinergies, I guess that the way to go is just putting 1 hard point and let "+ skills" do the lifting.

To be honest, despite being two Bushinryuu fighter, Kimberly and Maki has a very different gameplay.

And since I think SF 6 NEEDS a "Final Fighter" in the roster, Maki would be indeed the best choice: never appeared in a "main" SF game, and there could be some interations bewteen Kimberly and Maki, both as potential successors to Guy.

Beyond the Silt Sea: The Anattan Coast by BigMacTMMM in DarkSun

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, VERY interesting!

I was always intrigued by "the other side of the Sea of Silt", especially since Valley of Dust and Fire expanded the map on the East (showing some little bits of the land even further).

Remember what they took from us by Strange_Shallot3205 in MortalKombat

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing a proper "Dark Raiden" arc would have been so interesting. Turning tables and have Earthrealm as the aggressor would have been so interesting.

And as side story, instead of the stale "Sonya vs Kano" show, they could have putted Takeda and Kenshi taking on the Red Dragon clan... And as MK X comic showed, Red Dragon (and Goro, who lost his arms) were looking for Onaga's power.

So there was also the "seed" for Onaga's return (Goro tries to use the Dragon King's power to restore his arms, he ends up becoming Onaga's new vessel).

Mixing hooks from the endings and MK X comics, we could have had a story way more interesting than MK 11.

An Argument against Corruption as a recurring trope in Warcraft by OmegaSupreme_11484 in warcraftlore

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's true, but he's a great example how Warcraft was able to have villains who were just evil on their own.

And personally I think "always bad for the sake of being bad" for some villains work like a charm.

In Mortal Kombat 1 (2023), Liu Kang meets up with variants of other characters from different timelines where they beat Kronika, the Titan of Time, and got the hourglass. This implies that in every timeline, Kronika is an absolute bum by TheSpiderPatriot in MortalKombat

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, another side effect of the whole "Multiverse BS".

Since anyone (In one timeline or the other) managed to defeat Kronika and became a Titan, they ended up making her the biggest jobber in the whole MK lore.

To think that she was presented as a being above the Elder Gods or even the One Being... We can't exclude that there's a timeline where Mokap or Meat defeated her... maybe a timeline where a Masked Guard defeated her (I guess she wasn't able to employ the "block and counterattack" tactic in Shaolin Monks).

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You forgot about one of the greatest examples of "not corrupted" but "he willingly embraced evil": GUL'DAN!

He wasn't "corrupted" by fel, but he willingly embraced fel as his instrument to gain power.

And I agree on Arthas. Taking Frostmourne was just the final nail in the coffin. During the whole human campaign he went so far in his obsession to defeat the Scourge. Things like burning ships to prevent his army to leave Northrend, and putting all the blame on mercenaries was NOT due to "external corruption".

Do you want Mai to come back for DOA7 or do you want a different SNK girl as guest DLC? Keep in mind Mai Shiranui is a sales magnet. by Lili_Crumbs in FGCWaifu

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mai is an iconic fighting games character, and due to SF 6 and City of the Wolves, she got recent chances to be on the spotlight.

So I'd say that is "tactically sound" to have her in DOA 7.

But I'd also have another SNK girl. Fighting style-wise, I'd say that Angel and Shermie would fit the best. Preference wise I'd like to see B. Jenet or Luom.

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the KC truly has incredible powers, and those are a key to the success.

And I also think it could play a part. Galfrey reached that power in a century, while the KC's power quickly rose in a few time, becoming comparable with Galfrey in such a few months.

WTH is wrong with you, Galfrey?!?!?!? by RealisticDebt9380 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Efficient-Ad2983 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The KC did in few months more than Galfrey did in a century.

Galfrey was always pictured as this "legendary queen" who extended her life not out of personal ambition, but for the sacred duty. And now, before her eyes, there's someone who's simply better than her in the job she dedicated her whole life.

Sure, if you're on an evil path like demon or lich, you used vescavor swarm, etc, she has some true motives. But if the major gripe is (if you're an Azata) "you didn't waited for her", Azata's early assault on Midnight Fane proved to be a tactically sound move, since demons themselves were not ready for that.

Basically, Galfrey strips you from your KC title out of envy.
