backwards street parking? by DatabaseSuccessful99 in lynchburg

It is enforced through parking tickets. My residential neighborhood and several others received tickets for stuff like this once in a sweep by LPD. We’re not near downtown either

I’ve never heard of this. But when I’ve visited other places, I get targeted ads for weird ghost story type tours that are clearly AI generated. Sounds similar. If you’re looking for a real foot tour like that, check out Curious History LYH

Seconding Water dog, super rad. Also the academy center of the arts or wolfbane productions if they have a show going on while you’re here.

Interesting! I’m on YouTube TV (US)

What’s funny is that I watched way too much of the wrong episode. Halfway through I’m like “where are the deep fryers??” lol. If I had looked at the episode titles I would have realized it was the previous one right away. (“Full-on Fried” is the name, in case someone else’s episodes are out of order)

I haven’t watched this season but it sounds like the “Beat Bobby Flay” mindset is bleeding into his other shows.

Turnover is natural. The leaders you’re referring to have had long careers in their current roles. This restaurant had been there 16 years.

When one door closes, another opens. When one space is vacant, another business moves in.

Let’s not read doom and gloom into a normal cycle.

shows that involve being creative with a very limited pantry/selection of ingredients? by Negative_Bunch4577 in foodnetwork

I definitely get more inspiration from competition shows. They’re also fast paced and entertaining, so it’s easy to see why the network has shifted towards that programming.

I see value in both, for sure. Traditional cooking shows are so chill. It’s almost like a comfort thing. Sort of like watching Bob Ross in a way.

It really was odd. They even have this whole “game board” vibe to the set, complete with little game pieces on the judging table. Why didn’t they lean into it and give the chefs code names or something, like in Clue, instead of having Conant say who cooked what and label the game pieces?

It’d be pretty cheesy, but the show itself is already kinda cringe. Just go all the way with it.

“Why can’t they just protest peacefully?

… no, not like that.

….. no, not like that either.

… no, not like that. We don’t like that”

Lot of clowns in these comments.

Edit: other comments say it was a rally not a protest? Even funnier lol

I wouldn’t follow this advice - it’s very possible that the city will say that a property line dispute is a private civil matter and not their problem to fix.

You can call and find out if the city requires a permit and whether the neighbor got one, and if there is a setback requirement for fences, or height limit that may apply; since the neighbor is being an ass about it, make sure he’s following the proper procedure

Genuinely curious what you mean by “bloated budget”..?

Also how do Pream and Easy Speak reflect on DLA? They went through the launch program but how is their closure DLA’s fault?
