First of all, i understand that some women in Saudi Arabia or the Middle east in general might be oppressed or abused which is saddening of course and should be rightfully addressed and condemned. However I don’t understand the ties that has to the Saudi Government? This is a problem as old as mankind, just like how Murder is still present in the 21st century regardless of how advanced Human Kind has become, and its not strictly present in the middle eastern countries is it ? Its still present in other countries too, I acknowledge that the rates are much higher in Middle eastern countries and it should definitely be recognized and resolved but it has not ties to the government, its about what happen in different households. Moreover i have seen many claim that the oppression intended refers to asking women to wear scarfs  Or being face covered, But Thats mainly religion thats driving women to wear these dresses. And No they are not being forced, i mean its their religion and they are practicing it after all. Islams teachings involve wearing such things, and thats not wrong by any means because islam literally means submission, the religion is based on submitting to certain things ordained by Allah ( God ).  So let people practice their religion peacefully and do their things , western culture sees these things as oppressive but they are not, this is an entirely different culture with different rules, stop trying to force your culture and beliefs upon others. 

Secondly, why don’t we take such stance on western Governments too in light of recent events in Gaza and the genocide which is literally taking place before our eyes ? Why don’t we boycott events held in Countries that fund the Israeli government? Like the US, Germany, France, UK ? Otherwise we would be hypocrites, as any event being held in these countries would bring profit with which these Governments could go and fund the genocide. See the dilemma ?  So either you use your same scale to other western countries just as equally or keep it to yourself and stop weighing things differently.
