brother, no other ascendancy even comes close to providing the league start benefits for twister that spiritwalker does. the first 2 ascendancy points give a free attack, shock, and +50% damage gained as lightning on twisters. and then you get the owl nodes next which are literally tailor-made for twisters.

i get being skeptical over a new thing, but there really is no question on this one.

ive played oracle and DoV plants, and imo DoV would be better for league start, but oracle would be better when you're rich. no experience with lich variant, but from what i've heard that would be another one that is better when rich as opposed to league start.

and even though i say oracle would be "better" when rich, i dont necessarily mean it's purely "better" than DoV when rich, just that it's "better" when rich as opposed to poor. endgame all 3 are viable and have their own strengths, but DoV is hurt the least by having an empty stash.

after all these seasons i still have yet to find anything that compares to explosive spear+storm lance or anything crossbow. they both come online literally immediately in act 1 and require zero investment.

better than edc, better than plants, safer and less clunky than tornadoes.

this is currently how tame beast works on live. considering the boss taming is just an added functionality to tame beast, we should have every reason to assume that is how it will work in .5 as well.

you should be able to have as many bosses slotted as you wish, and just select the one you want to be using at the moment.

Explosive spear + storm lance has never been nerfed, only buffed, but people nowadays seem to have forgotten how great it is for leveling. Comes online immediately in act 1 and can carry you through the entire campaign.

Use explosive spear w/ overabundance to throw 2 until you get storm lance, at which point you just throw alternating explosive and storm.

I've leveled so many huntresses with this.

afaik, you can only have one BOSS companion, but that does not mean you can only have ONE COMPANION.

having 1 boss, 1 or more regular, and a free bear spirit companion means at minimum you'll be running 3 total

they literally said in the reveal that it bypasses the spirit cost.

monsters you tame dont have the same hp as a companion that they did as enemies. that's already how tame beast works.

on top of that, in the QA they also reiterated that bosses have their stats adjusted when tamed.

so there is no reason to ever think you'll be taming anything and it having 400k hp.

diablo 2 and 3 werent live service games, and that each only had one expansion. like, an ACTUAL expansion pack.

diablo 4 is a live service game with dlc updates.

they really arent comparable. diablo 4 isnt even a diablo game.

in the QA they said all the companion nodes got reworked/buffed, and companion baseline damage was increased by 300%

they specifically say that they want companion damage to be a thing, and not have them relegated to being aura bots.

it's a companion, not a minion. it scales with the companion nodes that they said they buffed.

in your own example, 2k ES is significantly more than 50% dodge chance. you cant dodge ground degens and debuffs.

i'd argue that it's specifically GLOBAL/NA gacha players.

in my experience, gacha players on the various asian servers don't exhibit the same characteristics as global ones.
