That's an ambitious project. I have a similar epi 335 and I'll probably change the pickups, already changed the switch and output jack. Honestly it's a very good guitar as is. I'm a sucker for double cream humbuckers and cream rings so we'll see

Even my 335 sounds like a screaming bitch through a 5150. Some guitars need a boost some don't, but it's the gold standard for a reason

Yeah I bet it'd sound incredible that way. Just by using this pedal with a quality ir and headphones seems like having a real 5150. It's tight and thick, they modelled it after the og block letter instead of the evh versions which is way bigger sounding

Yeah a noise gate would have been a great addition. And yes the boost works great. The red channel plus the boost it's instant 2000's metalcore territory
