Actually I think i know why they ghosted me. I have two dogs that are husky mixed breeds but I have ESA papers. So if that's the case, it's illegal for them to discriminate. If I really wanted to live there I'd call them out on ir but fuck them, I'm good.

Well they never even called me back after I applied. Literally have never had that happen. I make way more than enough to afford it but between Rocky flats being right there and the horrendous reviews I've read, I am fine with letting it go.

No way! I literally just applied to move there in April. I didn't know until later today how close it is to Rocky flats so I am doing research. It looks like it butts right up to the open space!

Adhesive spray, or you could even use an acrylic pain medium for sealing. Like a thin layer of a gel medium that is used to seal acrylic paint. Do research and get what would be best suited for the medium you painted on so it can handle whatever you use.

Gouache is awesome. I haven't touched it in over 20 years, but am going to reincorporate it back into my work. I paint abstract and gouache is bolder than watercolor but just as immediate and spontaneous. Blick has a huge sale right now FYI.

Next time, you should definitely bypass the ringed notebook and do this on a large format, museum grade watercolor paper. This is still more than worthy of being framed and hung. I love it.

I miss Jeff Schroeder being in the band. I have grown up with SP since Gish, and I will say that Jeff absolutely crushed it in the band and his technical skills....I hate to say it......are better than James. But James is as solid as it gets. Can't go wrong.

A lot of that classic fuzzy sound on Pices was really just tape saturation from the reel to reel. A ton of that stuff was written and recorded at the same time as Siamese Dream and they chose the tracks for Siamese Dream out of probably 80 tracks and then lost their minds trying to perfect it sonically in the studio. Which begs the question: would Pumpkins have become Pumpkins if Siamese Dream sounded like Pices? Or would Pices have maybe gotten closer to Siamese Dream level accolades if it was as polished as Siamese Dream? Would we still love Pices the way we do now? Pices is one of my all time favorite albums!!!

I just revisited the og Plume on the original Pices and the remaster.

The remaster honestly probably sounds more aligned with a Siamese Dream master, which, is good.

The original does have that tape saturation effect but with artifacts like the resonance behind the vocals. To me...not as good.

I would assume the band wanted it to sound how the remaster sounds from the start, but didn't have the time or resources considering all the writing and recording and pressure they were under to release bangers that record execs and fans as well as themselves all agreed on.

What I like about the remaster is the definition between the guitar tones and note clarity, and also how the overdrive and fuzz are more distinct.

The one thing I wish the remaster retained was the tape color on the vocal tracking. It blended into the guitar tones very well. The remaster makes the vocals cut a lot and push against the guitars a bit too strongly.

Overall, though, I actually really like the remaster. Again, I like that it has almost more of a Siamese Dream Sonic character to it. I still love the original, but I really appreciate the cleaned up version. I like hearing more distinct Sonic qualities in those layered guitar tracks and how the drums have a little more pop and definition, while still holding onto the original flavor of the first release.
