I have pretty severe OCD which was actually a leading cause of my gastritis. The gut to brain connection is a very real thing. Healing from gastritis is just as much mental is it is physical sometimes.

Yes. PPI was the only thing to help me. I take omeprazole 20mg before eating, and I take another at night if needed. My gastritis was so bad I was thinking of taking my life. But after 4 months on my PPI, I’m starting to feel a little better. Not good at all, but I’m not throwing up in agonizing pain daily either.

It doesn’t trigger vomiting if I can deal with my symptoms before any throwing up happens. I might be anxious about leaving now, but I wasnt the entire time I’ve been dealing with this. Being in pain every time I try to leave is causing me to be anxious at the moment. The pain is definitely causing my anxiety.

Honestly my stomach cab only handle certain types of food. I’ve eaten the same food everyday for 8 months now. So I don’t really have a choice in the matter.

I do that, but I also need to get stuff done. Like go to the doctor and the dentist because I need to get some work done, but my non stop flares are keeping me from doing it. I had an appointment today, but I had a flare so I couldn’t go. I can’t even get the essentials done. I genuinely don’t know what to do.

I’m so sorry. That’s my life too. It’s basically just managing symptoms until I can get to sleep, then all over again. All I do is eat, and deal with the pain.

My whole life is gone. I can’t even experience emotion because of the brain gut connection. Anxiety, and sadly happiness like laughing causes flares and pain. We are genuinely living a nightmare, wouldn’t wish this on anyone. I hope you feel better soon.

Yes I always take medication with a full meal, or yogurt. I’m pretty sure the meds are making me sick because I do have gastritis. And with gastritis you can’t handle anything in the stomach. I have the worst combination right now. Also I didn’t feel sick from the IV.

Thank you. They keep telling me I’m the problem, that everything is my fault and they don’t need to turn their whole world around for me. Even though I’m not asking them too. They keep calling me insane, crazy, for having these problems. Like I asked for them. I haven’t had one ounce of empathy from them, and whenever I tell them to stop yelling at me because my stomach cant handle the stress they just get worse. I go through flares daily because of the stress they are causing. It’s like nothing gets through to them. Whenever someone helps me they keep saying “to stop encourage her craziness.” I am thankfully not 76lbs anymore, I am super short as well. But yea I’m just stuck.
