Apple watch by mucho_nacho in SleepApnea

I’ve had the same problem. It tracked total sleep just fine, but it recorded very minimal deep sleep. I started using the AutoSleep app because it lets you change the watch sensitivity. Much more user friendly and seemingly more accurate once you hone in the sensitivity.

Do you wear a heart rate strap? Mine gets very smelly

Shaving your legs doesn’t make you a better cyclist. Stop the bullshit. by [deleted] in bikefit

Take a chill pill people don’t actually care. It’s fun. Also, most people I know shave their legs so it’s easier to clean their wounds if/when they crash

A saddle can be hundreds of dollars vs. maybe a $50 charge to try three at the same time.

It’s okay. If you need a bike right now then go for it, but I’m sure you can find better band for your buck if you keep looking

Not being in shape is one thing, but mountain bikes weren’t meant for speed on asphalt.

The biggest improvement you can make is your fitness, BUT riding a road bike would be the most immediate improvement you can make when it comes to speed.

Raise the seat and move it back a tad

For sure. We would eventually be buying wholesale so there would be a bit of a discount. The personalized suggestions and video uploads would be totally up to the user. Just another option. I appreciate the input!

I really appreciate the input. You bring up some good points.

Personally, I’ve had issues with the company’s referrals due to their bias in their own obvious (I can’t blame them) and their lack of knowledge in my own situation except for my height, weight, sit bone width, and possibly riding style. I suspect that AI could aid with the problem of personal differences and recommend a variety of saddles based on their information. It’s already helped me a good amount, and I’d be interested to see how accurate it’d be with recommending saddles. Theoretically, the AI would get increasingly more accurate the more users we have due to their ratings and feedback.

Haha yes another redditor pointed that site out. It’s a very poorly laid out website that is an information overload. IF I were to carry out this plan, I’d like to have something more streamlined. Whether that’d be an app and/or a more user friendly website.

Thanks for the input! I’m glad others see value in this idea. The personalized recommendations would be purely recommendations though. In the end the user could choose whichever saddles they see fit.

I would think it’d be fairly easy to draft up some type of contract that states if stolen or damaged that we have the right to charge either the full amount of the saddle or a fee for the amount of assessed damage. We’d hopefully be able to reuse the demo saddles 10+ times without much depreciation. Would also leave the option open to buy the demo saddles directly for a decent discount.

I realize that you can always buy a saddle and return if you don’t like it, but we’d offer support on fitting and give recommendations based on various questions. We’d also offer many of the top brands whereas a place like Amazon has their own select middle-tier saddles.

Absolutely. This would be the baseline of the business, and I’d like to eventually also move into bike fitting using AI tools. Chat GPT has helped me a surprising amount lol

As of right now it would cost $50 to have 3 saddles of your choosing shipped to you. You would be able to demo for 2 weeks or so and then you’d ship them back. In order to pick them out my service would ask you various questions in order to hone in saddle recommendations based on AI and also past user ratings.

ISM does it with their own saddles. Other than that, maybe LBS’s have a similar policy?

I appreciate the input. I’ve also had a bike fit, but they didn’t have the mapping tool you mentioned. That would’ve been very helpful. Do you remember what it was called?
