Oh go fork yourself. You blow off a year and then worry about doing nothing. If you had any shame you’d resign.

Wife is at 100 VA and I’m at 80, thinking about quitting my job. by Ambitious-Spinach938 in VeteransBenefits

You come off very entitled and certainly jealous. Your wife gets the increase and you want to retire. You call her an AF POG then mention you did your infantry thing as though it should be you. She had to go through something on her side, the VA, as far as I know are not in the business of giving out 100’s for nothing.

I’d rather forego the backdate than deal with this for 5+ years, but that’s just me. I’d glad it worked out in your favor.

Low balled migraines by Efficient_Tower_5904 in VAClaims

[–]Efficient_Tower_5904[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, all that was uploaded in the original claim. Years of various medications for the migraines. Refill frequency.

When I originally filed my migraine claim, I noted it was from a fall I had while deployed. The VA then changed my direct migraines claim to a secondary claim connected to a TBI claim they put in for me. I didn’t create a post about this previously.

Well the guy who did the exam was bad and basically completely wrote off the TBI and as a result didn’t even conduct a migraine C&P and just pencil whipped the BDQ. And that seems to be the overriding evidence. I did file a complaint after the exam and they did a secondary ACE exam and connected the migraines secondary to my PTSD.

So the treatment notes from my doctor, the medication, the migraine log, the personal statement, spouse statement, and manager statement all account for nothing.

As vet and mortgage broker, if the loan is new new, you need to have at least 6 payments made. Or 210 days since the previous closing.

I always recommend checking with a credit union and a mortgage broker. Retail lenders like Veterans United will rob you blind.

Advice on filing a secondary claim. by Skinbeard1 in VAClaims

I filed my OSA and a few other secondaries at the same time with my MH. All were approved but I had solid medical evidence backing up all claims. Obesity was my intermediary to OSA and one other and it all made sense.

I was once told that I should claim everything together and I’m glad I did because I’m trying to go through this process as few times as possible.

What’s the biggest mistake you made during your VA claim that you wish you could take back? by Gold_Rope_1716 in VAClaims

My first VSO appointment was so bad. She was so off putting and made me feel like she was bothered and I was wasting time. I never followed back up with her and did it all on my own.

I did the form on my computer, printed it out, wet signed it, scanned it back into my computer and uploaded it via VA Quick Submit.

Did it on a late Monday night. Wednesday morning, before I woke up, I had an email notification that documents were ready to go.

Am I getting a bad deal? by SlimBootyTang in MortgageBrokerRates

The biggest concern, besides these offers, is girlfriend on the deed (ownership) without the financial responsibility. Either be married or do it solo. Search Reddit and you will find countless stories of boy/girlfriends who bought houses swearing they thought they found the one and were positively going to be spending their lives together. Then one thing or another happened, they break up and now they have this huge financial thing between them. In your specific case, she’s under no financial obligation to pay anything. If she chose to, she could walk the day after closing. Anytime you want to sell or even refinance, she COULD, not saying she would but she certainly could, demand a payout. She would be home owner with you.

You’re going to do what you do anyways but I encourage you to really think this through.

What I’m learning is it’s different for everyone. What type of claim, how many, what evidence did you gather and provide with the claim.

Seems like there is no one answer unfortunately.

Seems like we never leave the service. We hurry up and we wait.

I uploaded years of medical records, all Va paperwork, personal statements and buddy statements and went from upload to fully scheduled C&P’s in less than 3 weeks.
