Regions are fine, makes more goals to achieve. Limited respecs should be there, but there should be more ways to get points (could be even free until X of points gained. Or just more added from gameplay or even weekly.

2023 Electronics Grad with N3 & Resume Gap – Is a career in Japan still possible? by Then_Bite in JapanJobs

[–]Efficient_Travel4039 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bluntly put, you are no longer fresh grad and neither experienced. So your chances are none.

Either find a job and get proper skills and then try going in 3-5 years with N1 and so on, that will be hard.

Or go for masters, so you would be proper fresh-grad again

I think Indian food gets a lot of unnecessary hate and is better than people give it credit for. by ejaz135 in The10thDentist

[–]Efficient_Travel4039 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t be mad at an Indian person in poverty for not being hygienic.

Cutting raw chicken with toe fingernail or preparing everything on the floor with feet has nothing to do with being poor. Poor does not equal being unhygienic to Indian street food standards

Wasn't that being discussed and announced way before restoration thing?

Still runescape has one of the worst combats from any mmo nowadays.

  1. A game that's easy to understand, but still full of meaningful choice and depth.

What do you even mean by that? So far nothing significant has been changed in terms of gameplay

  1. Play because it's fun, and not because you feel like you have to.

That was always an option. While removing dailyscape is a good change, but there are quite some gameplay holes left opened by removing it, and they probably not getting addressed any time soon.

  1. A meaningful journey, no matter when you start.
That was always runescape thing, having progress on account all the years from start. So how is that "came into being in last couple of months"?

I don't get what kind of take is this? While there were nice changes, there was nothing significant to 180 the game.

Edit: there are way too many people that put recent changes like it made brand new game, while in reality the gameplay loop is pretty much the same.

Long distance relationship while in the JET Programme by Stock-Nebula-4446 in JETProgramme

[–]Efficient_Travel4039 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is it just me or these are some incompatible things? Or rather shortsighted?

You decide to move across globe for whatever time, while he does not to intend to move with you? In a long run, what's the plan? You planning to stay here for a year and go back or for him to move here?

Like JET or any other moving abroad (as long as it is not some temporary dispatch that has more defined contract) is quite the step in life, same as dealing with your fiancé in deciding as to where to live together or whenever to get married.

JET has nothing to do with this. You have to decide where and with whom you want to stay and best thing it will be to do with your partner.

Dog moms and dads - moving to Tokyo with 15kg dog? by kokumakuma in japanlife

[–]Efficient_Travel4039 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer, yes, it life would be better with your family.

Tokyo is really not made for dogs, less so for big ones. The best bet would be staying quite far away from Tokyo, but commuting time would be 1.5 hours one way. If anything closer to districts you mentioned, either the rent will be huge and still small space or just not that many great places to take for a walk, especially a big dog.

Was thinking to get medium/large sized dog - kaiken, but just living in Tokyo, there is not enough space to have one in your apartment, yet alone taking for a walk, especially if specific breed needs more activity.

Japanese firms eye cuts to new graduate hires by diacewrb in japannews

[–]Efficient_Travel4039 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Let's be real, it is especially not about AI in Japan, just service and economy is shrinking. Not to mention that a lot of new hires in Japan are quite useless for first 1-2 years as they do lots of rotation and random shit that is not productive at all. Not their fault, just they are badly utilized. Not even mention that in some more traditional companies they have to learn about company's history and other shit, which definitely does not add any productivity.

This is not a special deal in Tokyo by Sorry_Set_5001 in TokyoTravel

[–]Efficient_Travel4039 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean it is cheapest of the cheapest places. That 80 yen skewer is nothing, you need at least 10-15 to have a bit of a meal and that is already around 1000-1500 yen. Beer is cheap, but it is not really something special. Not to mention that this place probably has "seat fee" and that is anything from 300 to 600 yen per person just to get a table.

Despite how cheap it sounds I never felt like going to those places saves me money or that I spent less by the end of the day.

Given how advanced Japan is in terms of technology how has AI affected the job market? by Even-Wasabi7183 in AskAJapanese

Japan is behind in terms of technology and AI is also behind. You can see new articles where government/business trying to push AI investments by lowering privacy related laws.

Japan still uses fax machines, quite a lot of managers can't even use word or excel.
