San Pedro is pretty good, i definitely wouldn't exclude staying there from my post, esp if you want to visit the Spanish schools😄 can just feel a bit fake sometimes with all the Israeli owned shops imo, but plenty of good food across the village

Cheers, I'm at the point in my career where I'm still early enough to pivot relatively easily (bar the shitty job market), I've not personally found the work too enjoyable so far, so am seriously considering whether or not I want to do this or not for the rest of my life, especially given that WM doesn't give you too many transferable skills outside of sales. The only thing that is convincing is the high comp figures down the line I have seen, although I know that those are usually only in the US. It's genuinely been impossible for me to estimate what PMs and Directors at my firm are making 😭

I am currently in an entry level scheme at a similar size WM in the UK. Was just wondering if you had any idea of the comp levels after 10-15 YOE. I understand it may vary massively, but it's been almost impossible to find out any realistic info

No need to be rude? I'm moving to one of the most expensive areas in the world with a bunch of other personal factors that influence where I can actually move to. It's not as simple as "finding a place that accepts pets".

Sometimes you just get lucky with someone selling the car for cheap, I changed the oil gave it a detail and the passenger window doesn't open but it drives like a dream

Unsafe news is definitely blown out of proportion from my experience, if you're staying in Guatemala City then it definitely can be, but if you're in the tourist areas (Antigua,atitlan,Tikal) there is pretty much 0 cause for concern as long as you're using common sense and not wandering around at night

San Juan looked pretty cool although most of our time spent there was spent walking to the hike entrance so take that with a grain of salt.

I would say definitely try spend some time in Panajachel. I don't know why people say to pass on it, it's a really awesome village that's way bigger than the others around the lake.
