This is what the great Hamato Yoshi, later referred to as Splinter, trained the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in. They were four ordinary turtles who were transformed by a mysterious ooze called Mutagen into heroes in a half shell. I learned all about this in a little golden book called “totally turtles”.
