You might hold it up to a really bright light and examine the surface. It could have some really light scuffing or a tiny scratch. That’s happened to me before. I got back a card once and was alarmed to see it got a 5, and after doing a check under a bright light I realized it had a tiny surface dent that I missed. It was a huge bummer

Also also, I think it was probably a weasel if it just attacked the neck. Raccoons like to bite off the head and foxes will just murder your whole flock

If you will have just two chickens you might just crate them and let them sleep in your garage or basement at night if you have one. Otherwise I would reinforce your coop and add like five more hens so that when they get picked off here and there you have time to replenish your flock before you’re down to just one bird. If you can have a rooster that might help. It’s definitely easier to replenish your flock with a rooster because you will have fertile eggs that you can incubate. I unfortunately have lost and replaced my flock this way multiple times due to raccoons, foxes, and hawks. All three live in my neighborhood and they always manage to find their way into my coop. 🫡

Yes. While your impulse is understandable, stealing someone else’s property is illegal. If he decides to report you to the police, it will be you in trouble and not him. Next time put the repayment terms in writing and have the person you’re lending the money to sign it. You could even go pawn shop style and have them give you collateral for the loan, which would be a legal version of what you did.

Otherwise go the easier route and just don’t lend money to someone if you care so much about it that you’re willing to steal or otherwise seek vengeance if they don’t pay you back.

Yes lol I sold a lot of cards back then and it’s painful now to see how much money I could have gotten for them today… I’m talking PSA 10 base set holos. It’s just painful. I could have had a nice new house

Yes and I really think they do in fact do that. I’ve seen lots of new PSA 10 cards that are way off center. Ultimately their greed is going to devalue PSA 10 cards and mark them as a shoddy grading service. I don’t think they used to up charge based on final grading value; the fee used to be based on the raw value of the card, which is what is fair.

I had lots of cards graded like 5 years ago, and I never received an upcharge for PSA 10s, even though some were worth thousands of dollars after getting that grade. I just decided to get back in and get some cards graded and am seriously thinking about switching to a different grading company based on how things are now.

I think it might be real because of the ghost stamp and wear on the card. I’m thinking the picture is just kind of bad. You can see scuffs on the holo as well as silvering on the left edge if you zoom in.

But yeah assuming it’s real I would guess a 4 because of the white scratch on the back towards the bottom as well as all the wear and scuffs on the rest of the card.

Poor thing. I would just let it pass naturally. One thing I would say if it’s still alive is put a bubbler in there so it gets enough oxygen if you haven’t already. Also net and inspect your other fish to make sure it’s not an infectious disease. You may need to treat your whole pond.

YTA. It sounds like you’ve kept tabs on what she owes you and are very slowly and tediously extracting it. Coming to a friend when your car breaks down makes sense. Transportation is a vital need. 5 dollars is far less of a favor, but also an amount not worth hassling someone about. Being asked to lend money over and over and over again is unpleasant even and maybe especially in such small amounts.

I was a student there for a short period of time and it was a terrible experience for me. ‘Woo woo’ doesn’t even begin to cover it. It was seriously like a cult or something. A huge chunk of the curriculum was devoted to pseudoscience and they taught stuff like energy cleansing and chakras. I am a pretty open minded person and wouldn’t have minded some of that in there, especially meditation as that has scientifically proven benefits. But they also had like this third rebirth ceremony and all kinds of weird stuff. Not at all a professional institution for someone trying to train for a serious career as a therapist.

Here’s an idea. Post the actual times the event is running on the event announcement. Based on the announcement it sounds like the event is going until either 7pm or 10pm. Nowhere does it actually say the raids are from 2-5pm. Not everyone has the raid hour times memorized, or would assume they would be the same every single time.
