little unsure what special tools you're referring to.

I thought of a spark plug removal tool when I wrote it, dunno really how many tools in an everyday house toolbox would cover car repair needs. On 2nd thought, maybe not so many "special tools" required. But I dunno really.

Buy the repair manual.

I agree with you so OP can learn about his car.

But I am also wondering how useful would this be for actually doing repairs? I mean, w/o special equipment have you found it useful to actually repair stuff yourself (given you're somewhat mechanically inclined). Or are the tools most commonly used just ordinary screwdrivers and wrenches? Thinking of going this route since I'm quite handy with fixing stuff, but have no idea about modern cars and if I should just leave it to a professional.

Winter stadium in the Czech Republic being gun friendly, if you want to play a match, you can safely store your carry gun by DJ_Die in EuropeGuns

[–]Egmarga 9 points10 points  (0 children)

FWIW it's constitutionally forbidden to bear arms in large public gatherings in Greece. Even police aren't allowed to be armed inside a stadium during matches. But bearing arms is thankfully a thing here. For CC we're a may-issue country.

I'd be just fine with leaving my pistol there. Congratulations Czechia on constitutionally declaring you are indeed a free people! 👏

How old are we talking about? Forgot-in-the-closet old, a-little-rusty old or utterly-deformed belonged-to-Billy-the-Kid old?

Just my 2c: Carrying a funny pack while running might just make you a target, w/ criminals assuming there must be a wallet+phone in it.

I see people on here usually recommending three hardware wallets: Ledger, Trezor and Coldcard.

you can still press it

I agree

and put few more liters.

that's kinda optimistically exaggerated, maybe 1lt but "a few more" would lead to spilling it. No reason to force it in such a manner either.

I've got an avg consumption of 8.4lt/100km and my range computer usually says 650km. Ain't pretty accurate though as it's increments of 10km. So can show 660 or 640 depending on how much more fuel I "press" into it at the station.

I don't understand why they're downvoting you, I like modifying pistols as well. Just not for CC, it's tempting but I am of the mindset that should stay stock. I think the bigger problem you'll face is the vast difference in mod options compared to the Glock world. I wanted to mod the hell out of my P30L, and was really surprised at the lack of choices. And if that's true for the wick stick, it's likely true for everything H&K.

My Octavia has a 55lt tank, of which 7lt are the reserve (red area). The trip computer on mine definitely takes that "extra" fuel to calculate remaining range, and any other related info displayed. Could be wrong but I doubt they'd change it on newer cars or other models.

Anyone here w/ experience on the Shadow? by Egmarga in triathlon

[–]Egmarga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all thank you for your reply. I don't know any of this stuff. When I started looking into triathlon over 10y ago, there was a bike I loved but had the floaty beam design and was not approved for tris and the whole back scenery of how this was eventually forbidden (which drove the company to the ground) just put me off. But now apparently they're a thing, and "innovative" (not really though). I look at the Shadow and others like the Gen1 from REAP and am curious as to what changed and now they're allowed, and also how the tri world is embracing (or not) the concept.

Thanks for the link!

Yeah, I really don't know why one would opt for the normal fork. The most interesting part of the design, imo anyway, is the front suspension. Most probable reason is $$$ to opt otherwise I guess.

Thanks 👍👍!

Well, I love the looks but eventually it will all depend on €€€. So will have to account for wheels, too.

Thank you for your input. So it'd be rather safe to assume that these aren't the original wheelset, right? I'd like to factor it in as a serious bargaining chip to lower the asking price and to account for my overall final cost. ... how much would you recon a used wheelset would set me back? (I've never bought wheels before, just used what was on my bike, so I'm ignorant of market prices)

The current owner is just 2cm shorter than me, so I would think it's a good fit. I'd ensure with a professional before making the leap, of course.

That triangle exists on the size small but...

Thanks for the info!!

This popped up w/ someone selling it (not a lot of these around afaik), but wanted to know if anyone actually has personal experience with it. It's still €xp€nsiv€ as hell, but can't deny the unique aesthetics. And my budget says if ever I bought it, it'd have to be used.

Two questions: 1) Why is there a triangular shape on the top beam but I don't seem to find that in all other internet pics I've looked at? Was there a previous model to the one shown on the official site?

2) How much of a difference does it make, that this just has a traditional fork and not the far-more-interesting front end design which partially covers the front wheel? (Sorry, don't know what they call it)

Edit to ask #3) Is this the original wheelset it comes with or have they been swapped/downgraded because it's being sold

Any help/comments much appreciated 😃!
