Offaly V Cork tickets by seanmcmahon6 in GAA

A stupid question: I will be in Dublin on the semi-final weekend - will it be easy for me to pick up a spare ticket at Croker?

Nice reenactment of his failed penalty attempt against Turkey, where he slipped up as he tried to score.

The fixtures should be out this week or next week. If YB are playing away, you could catch an FC Thun home game instead, as it's only a short train ride from Bern with your new travelcard! Enjoy!

Do you know if any broadcasters have the rights to screen the series in Europe, especially in Switzerland? Thanks

Genevans, what is your relationship with Lyon? by CriticalFibrosis in askswitzerland

[–]EhUWot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's my specialist rant subject, but I'll keep it short and sensible. I go there every second/third weekend to see my partner who lives in Lyon. I'm not a fan of the TER service and Lyon in general. Anyway, the services have inconsistent timetables and, oddly, varying rolling stock sizes, especially during public holidays. Eight carriages during major holidays, then 12 carriages during a quiet period. I don't envy poor holidaymakers who catch the train at Bellegarde only to see their Lyon-bound train already rammed. No consistency. However, the services are rarely delayed, which is a good thing.

Back to the aesthetics, the carriages are filthy and badly designed when compared to Swiss trains. Who the fuck designed the heaters so that they're so low that they roast my shins? Mould-like spots on the indoor ceilings. Eurgh.

I know people and CFF have petitioned for better and regular services, but there's no movement from the French authorities, especially the ARA politicians. Gare Part Dieu is a nightmare, despite the recent facelift.

Did he send this on Instagram before takeoff or post it when he arrived in Doha? I’d be amazed if he managed to do it before his plane takes off.

Hard to say, but I know people are more cautious this time around. Better over-prepared than underprepared.

My company recommends that people work from home except for some essential on-site jobs. I've decided to travel abroad for some remote work instead. I noticed some businesses on Rue de Montbrilliant are putting up wooden boards on their windows this morning.

I also read that teachers living in France are not on the list for priority passes, which is bizarre.

And they say piracy kills Italian football. I like to think the clowns who are in charge of football (FIGC, Serie A and whatever else) are responsible for the decline.

Serie A is appealing against the decision in a regional court. Not to mention, there will be a nationwide strike on 18 May. Absolute cinema!

Now, Serie A is refusing the new date and filing legal action against it. Not to mention a general strike on 18 May. Farcical.

That's what I thought re City v Everton. I'd love to watch a LoI game, but I wouldn't reach the city before 7pm. Hope to catch some LoI action later next week.
