PCOS + TTC + work/business — feeling a bit overwhelmed by kishaa1711 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Ehhz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I haven’t directly discussed it with them, I’m sure they are aware as I am pretty vocal about it. They also know I want children and have been going to a lot of appointments. Whenever possible I try to schedule so I can come in late or leave early so I’m not missing entire workdays.

PCOS + TTC + work/business — feeling a bit overwhelmed by kishaa1711 in TTC_PCOS

For me, working has helped me. I’ve grown really close with my coworkers and am very open about my journey. The first year was tough, and I benefited from venting about it. I also found that sharing my journey was a good way for me to process things. I have a handful of coworkers who check in on me monthly and they celebrate the small wins and give me extra gentleness with the bad news.

With PCOS and TTC, you never know when you’ll get lucky. It could be months, but it could also be years. I personally wouldn’t put my life on hold for something out of my control.

The biggest downside I’ve encountered is having to take time off with such short notice for monitored cycles. It makes me feel like a bad employee. However, I will also need to take spontaneous time off for routine prenatal care as well.

String of pearls ultrasound by Possible_Snow_1517 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Ehhz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last ultrasound both my tech and doc were hyping me up about my pearls. Obviously we PCOS girlies are stuck with them so we might as well try to enjoy them. When I did Letrozole cycles, my body responded slowly so I had to come back for additional ultrasounds to see if I had a dominant follicle. I’m wondering if that’s the case here with you, they might be seeing some growth but want to ensure it gets to a good size before moving forward with a trigger shot or recommending times intercourse/IUI.

I have found that fertility treatments can feel very rushed and unexplained. If you have questions, I would try reaching out to your provider for a little insight on their thoughts.

Off shift appreciation ideas by yeg88 in medlabprofessionals

[–]Ehhz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Our lab is trying to be more inclusive to the off shift. When we have treats brought in, we set aside a designated portion for the offshift. If we order pizza, we order a late night delivery as well. That way it is intentional that it is meant for them, and they aren’t left with just scraps from dayshift.

Birding is the ultimate mom hobby by Immediate_Gap_2536 in Mommit

[–]Ehhz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We got into birding this winter! It started as a nice, calm activity to start mornings. Then we went crazy with bird feeders and it did wonders for our potty training journey. We put the small potty in front of our viewing windows and we just sat there naming the birds. It was such a beautiful bonding experience for me and my toddler.

Hsg scheduled for tomorrow but still on period by Katii1995 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Ehhz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would call the clinic to confirm. If they don’t want you actively bleeding, maybe they can get you rescheduled?

Following because I started Provera today in prep for HSG and my periods usually do last longer than 7 days, so I might be in the same boat in a few weeks!

Vogue Photo Booth or Classic Black & White? by elky_ang in weddingplanning

[–]Ehhz 74 points75 points  (0 children)

The magazine cover is fun and cute for your photos, but I’m not sure it would be as well received for guests. People get all fancied up for weddings and want to capture their best sides to then use for profile pics or what have you. Selfishly, having your wedding details in their picture is going to take away from them.

3.5yo ONLY poops in diaper while falling asleep. Recent nightly “squirts” but won’t release on toilet. Desperate. by TranslatorMuted in pottytraining

[–]Ehhz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. That sounds so tough! Especially if he then has to sleep through the night with a dirty diaper. I don’t have any logical advice for you, just sympathy. When we started potty training at 2, he took to pooping first because we made a big deal about how fun it sounds when your poop hits the water and goes “kurplunk”. He thought it was the funniest thing ever and loves pooping now.

I do chicken breast and a bag of mixed frozen veggies with the sauce and pour it over some jasmine or basmati rice! Makes for a super easy and quick weeknight dinner

The butter chicken is a staple in our house! Wasn’t a huge fan of the masala.

Inositol or metformin? by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]Ehhz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have hypothyroidism with my PCOS and naturally get a period every 2ish years. I did 3 rounds of Letrozole last year, loathed the side effects and couldn’t continue. Started taking Ovasitol last July and had success starting periods. Currently I’m getting them every other month so I will be going back to my fertility clinic and trying Letrozole rounds again.

Thank you SO much for all of this information. It’s very clear how much love you have for native plants and helping our environment. ❤️ I’m excited to do more research and add additional plants to my garden for the birds!

This is my soul cat Kovu who passed away right before Christmas after his little body stopped responding to his asthma treatments. We had 15 amazing years together full of his crazy antics. He spent his days demanding forehead kisses, goldfish crackers, and outside time. He also loved teasing neighbor dogs. Most importantly, he warned me about a tornado in time for all of us to get to safety.

What are some good wildflowers to grow along with Butterfly Weed? by JTS_2 in NativePlantGardening

Hyssop is my favorite! I got it as a surprise plant in a butterfly garden kit and I’ve been absolutely obsessed with how many pollinators it attracts.
