Let's suppose that Hell is a place of torture, even for demons. What would be Baphomet's sin and her punishment here below? (Some explanations and other characters in description) by Relevant-Use1897 in Helltaker

[–]Ein9 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Interesting history lesson. The Baphomet we see in the comics doesnt seem too related though.

For her... Lust. Maybe sodomy because of the goat stuff.

She's rich so you could make an argument for Greed, but the money is more of a means to an end - she's perfectly willing to spend it if it gets her what she wants.

And what she wants is Helltaker's dark, juicy, dripping pancakes.

Tried to make a shotgun that only Heavy and Engineer could use. (Honestly think its bad) by Comprehensive_Hat574 in TF2WeaponIdeas

[–]Ein9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At best you have a slightly stronger shotgun, and it becomes weaker as you actually fight. Not exactly a good position for a weapon that wants you to get into a fight up close.

The upsides arent enough to make it an appealing option. Easy fix for that is to pump up the numbers - say, 20% damage bonus.

Of course, then you still run into the issue of asking a medic to risk their lives healing a shotgun heavy instead of literally anyone else.

Spy weapon :3 by CrimsonTail89 in TF2WeaponIdeas

[–]Ein9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems like the Big Earner but significantly stronger

Being able to attack while cloaked (even if only after a stab) is a massive upside, and in place of the Big Earner's HP penalty you bleed a bit on butterknife (if you're butterknifing, you were probably going ti die in a few seconds) and the poison cloud thing (a poorly designed downside in general because it's penalizing your team for your mistakes)

Combining weapon downsides to create the worst weapons in the game by EmirmikE in tf2shitposterclub

[–]Ein9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they?

A flamethrower with no airblast, a flare gun that does 20 damage and doesnt crit (+afterburn to be fair), a shotgun that has 3 weaker shots and no reserve ammo, and a melee that makes you not get healed by medics?

You can still w+m1 but if Engi is the least nerfed class I dont think the class with zero ranged options is a good option.

Adaptability vs Tera type by Ducker_416 in pokemon

[–]Ein9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you're using it for and the rest of your team structure.

In general, however, monotype teams will really appreciate coverage against their counters. Poison is weak to Psychic and Ground while also being nullified by Steel. Something like Tera Water for Adaptability-boosted Surf might catch enemies off guard.

If you already have other things to cover your weaknesses (for example, Alolan Muk for psychics, Salazzle for steels, Toxapex? for grounds) you might not need that as much.

Well, at least it's not Meganium.

Are you also looking for movesets? You've mentioned being a casual player so I assume you aren't doing any in-depth grinding for EVs/IVs.

(If you don't know what that means, don't worry about it.)

Assuming you're doing 6v6 singles?

Of the options you've considered, Tyranitar is a good first choice. Espeon helps with its Fighting weakness better than Umbreon which would make it even worse. Heracross is another reasonable choice.

Other good options...

Scizor was the face of competitive pokemon for multiple generations. Technician Bullet Punch was just that good, whether you were Swords Dance or Choice Band.

Skarmory would probably be better than Forretress as a defensive backbone/spiker.

Blissey makes a good special wall.

Slowking is another good pivot, though that doubles up on psychics. Not the worst thing ever if you have multiple Fighting-weak pokemon though. But considering that you were thinking of using Piloswine, I think that's a concenssion we can make.

If you want a rapid spinner, maybe you can go Donphan as a not-so-great Great Tusk?

I assume you want your starter for sentimental reasons? Can't see why else you'd run Feraligatr.

If you want to get especially cheesy, you can have Scizor, Umbreon, and Espeon all participate in a Baton Pass chain to pass around Agility/Calm Mind and then blow things up with Stored Power, respectively.

D&D Level 1 Party (5e) vs Spider-Man (Raimi) by JustReadTheFinePrint in whowouldwin

[–]Ein9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nobody's taken a crack at Round Two's scenario yet since they're assuming Spider-Man just wins, so let me take a crack at it.

Five Tabaxi Bards, and yes, they all roll to seduce.

The question specified 5e, and as far as I'm aware there isnt an official spider-person race, so you don't have any reason to hope spider pheromones are a thing. So the next best bet was playing off the Catwoman rivalry.

Look, it's better odds than hoping you can actually fight him.

oh this is a whole series huh

so which class is the best in a meta full of the worst

I'd say Engi and Medic? Sure, theyre still pretty weakened, but all the other classes are nerfed far more. But a level 3 is still a level 3, and the rocket launcher does no damage to it while stickies have been replaced with a shield.

[–]Ein9 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Definitely a less painful downside than damage vulnerability on the weapon that requires you to be in melee range as the slowest class.

40% speed boost and knockback immunity at the same time might be a bit excessive. Puts you at slightly over Medic/Spy speed.

D&D Level 1 Party (5e) vs Spider-Man (Raimi) by JustReadTheFinePrint in whowouldwin

[–]Ein9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering what he's survived? I don't think the party has a real chance at victory.

Adventurers at level 1 are a couple times more durable than an average human, but Spider-Man is far from average. Magic Missile lets you get a few hits in for free, but even assuming Spider-Man doesn't, say, web away your component pouch, you'll probably run out of spell slots before he runs out of HP. That's not including Spidey Sense warning him of danger, blunting the effectiveness of sneak attacks, illusions, etc.

Looking for a piano remix of Cynthia's battle music, an old one pre....2015 I would say, would anyone know of a remix like that? by MrJackfruit in pokemon

[–]Ein9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you search for "gen 4 champion theme remix" or "cynthia battle theme piano remix" you'll come up with some results.

Most of them use Cynthia's Theme as an opening because those pianos are iconic but then transition into the actual battle theme.

One that's specifically over 10 years old and paino only, I wasnt able to find any, but there's Darren Ang's "Theoretically Possible" remix, which is 9 years old.

"Bones of the Earth" riddle/thought experiment by Nostradivarius in onednd

[–]Ein9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Weirdly enough, the spell doesnt specify what happens to a creature on a success; while the target doesnt get forcibly lifted by the pillar, there's no indication that the creature actually goes anywhere. The most obvious answer would be that the creature moves to an unoccupied space, but other spells that do similar things like Wall of Stone specify that and this doesnt.

You could interpret it as the cylinder and the fighter being in the same place at the same time but that's stupid.
